Well, well, well...another nail in the CBS coffin.

Federal regulators on Wednesday fined CBS a record $550,000 for Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction," How much did they fine for P. Diddy's crotch grabbing, and the swarms of sluttish people onstage in both "performances"?

Sounds like they're "piling on".
To quote the Goober, "Bring it on!" Higher and Deeper!

I disagree with fining the stations - the fine should be in CBS's corporate lap.
Why did it take 8 months, anyway?

Gee that's about 180 seconds worth of ads on 60 Minutes II.
Or about 20 seconds on a Super Bowl ad.

Yippee-skip. That's about what, one 30-second spot at halftime?
C-BS can pay this out of petty cash. A real penalty would be so heavy that the stockholders have to pass the hat.

I've never seen more BS overreacting over something in my entire life than I have with this event.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving network. However, I question the fairness of slapping the fine on 20 stations. Big government handing out big fines to fund their operations...this kind of punishment could be turned against conservative stations some day. I find it scary, myself.

I'd say Rathergate was 10 times worse than the wardrobe malfunction incident so now we can set a price: $5,500,000.

Janet should have to pay the fine. If we believe the hype, NO ONE knew she was planning to have a "wardrobe malfunction".
