Paraphrasing - Fox News found out Mary Mapes was sending protected letters to a Prisoner in a High Security Prison in Colorado. Also what was said is Mapes holds strong Liberal views.

Well, she's got at least a "showcase" husband. She jumps both sides of the fence, most likely, as conditions suit her. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT! (said by Jerry Seinfeld on his show :-)

I'll bet Mary Mapes was looking for a story against Republican's by corresponding with a "white supremacist."

"What did he have that she wanted?"

Could be a number of things. Help her to stage another phony story. Obtain incriminating information to include in a broadcast or pass on to, say, the DNC or kerry campaign or even use to apply pressure to somebody else. My guess is...

that the inmate who wrote the letter is somebody the recipient inmate trusted absolutely, so the letter's chief purpose was a "letter of introduction," a "reference" if you will. This would induce the second inmate to divulge information, evidence, names, whatever to Mapes. Both inmates would be discreetly paid off by another source.

Just a guess. Could be wrongo.

A fanatical activist infiltrates the MSM. No, I don't believe she's a typical representative of that class (and, frankly, what do I know), most of them with all their biases and hatreds think themselves 'professional journalists', but she's been tolerated and nourished there.

Ahh...that's probably a dead drop or some other cutout designed to intercept and screen any mail she gets.

She screwed up, though, in thinking that her relative anonymity and her status as a liberal powerhouse would protect her forever from the "unwashed" hordes.

Newsmax has been calling her the "Fallgal" on its website.

No it's not. It is her home address. See the link I posted much earlier in the thread - the one with the link to the Dallas Appraisal District.

"Mapes tried to skirt the Prison Laws !"

...yet she was respected and revered at CBS. Huh. Wonder how many more nuts CBS will find in the trail mix?

FNC's Brian Wilson was waving a copy of the letter sent by the warden to CBS and Mapes. There was also a cc to some idiot at CBS who's been giving glowing recommendations of Mapes the last day or so. Gee, that guy never mentioned this.

Okay. Aside from my partially idiotic, previous reply.
It would be helpful to see the content of the "waving ... letter".

Who will CBS use now to communicate with Mapes and Rather while they are in prison?

I would agree with you. I don't think CBS is making Mapes a sacrificial lamb, in fact, they continue to stand by her.

Jason Blair didn't have it this good.
