NEW YORK: Israel should be ready to face dire consequences if it intends to target Irans nuclear installations, President Pervez Musharraf said in an interview with an Arabic language daily on Saturday, according to a private TV channel.
President Musharraf said that Israel was neither the policeman of the world nor did it have any right to attack Iran. Israel is committing a breach of the world order. It should get ready to face horrendous eventualities if it attacks Iran, he added.
He went on to say that Israels military offensive against Iran would have negative regional and international implications.
Iran should also give up its hardline stance, he said.
On sending troops to Iraq, he said that Pakistan was ready to send its forces if other Muslim countries also contributed their troops. He asserted that Pakistan was winning the war against terrorism and would eliminate all Al Qaeda operatives in Pakistan.
"My security forces are loyal to me and I have no danger from them, said President Pervez Musharraf, dispelling the impression that his own security forces could be behind the recent assassination attempts.
And it faces dire consequences if it doesn't, Mushy.
Perhaps he should worry first about the Taliban remnants his own intelligence network is sheltering and the Kashmiri jihadists.
And what does Iran face if it attacks Israel?
A double sunrise.
But isn't that the typcical Muslim shpeal toward the Jews.
If they go Nuclear, it won't just be the Jews kicking the Iranians butts - GUARANTEED !!!!
In the movie, "Wag the Dog", a planted "journalist' asked the question "What about the war in Albania?" and thus started the entire scenerio.
When did Israel threaten Iran?
"...in an interview with an Arabic language daily..."
We should all remember that this guy can't relieve himself without someone trying to take a shot at him. I don't trust him, but I don't see this as a threat.
In the early '80's, Israel destroyed Iraq's nuclear weapons facilities, just as they were coming on-line. Now, the Israelis have purchased about 2,500 weapons from the U. S., 500 of which can take out underground facilities. The Iranians have good reason to worry, especially since they supposedly successfully tested an intermediate range ballistic missile. They bragged about it, in fact. Iran has Afghanistan to the southeast and Iraq to the West and, unlike the liberals or the MSM, Iran understands why the War on Terror is being fought on 2 fronts-to place them (Iran) in a vice.
I wonder if the special consignment of bombs for Israel are perhaps intended for Syria, not Iran.
I seem to recall that Syria never signed a peace treaty with Israel, so technically they are still at war. If the UN want to be legalistic about it, the Israelis can say we're still at war, no legal problem for them or the US.
Maybe after the elections the Israeli's get to do Syria, and the US (and probably some European countries) get to do Iran.
I think even the Euro's will dig their heels in if Iran has a nuclear tipped misssile that can hit their capitals.
Lets see, Iran threatens to blow Israel into the sea, and Mussraff warns Israel of dire consequences? Smoke more opium Pal.
And no, we don't need your brand of terrorists in Iraq.
Is there anyone in the muslim world that doesn't speak out of both sides of their mouth?
Mussraff, shut your yap, You Jew hating Muslim! This guy has be running his mouth quite a bit lately. All I can say, Egypt experienced the air power of Israel and their swiftness. If I was Him, Keep the paki's at home. This is no place for a third world gov't to get involved with im Mideast politics. If he does, He to will whacked even before his boys are out of bed!
Israel has a right to defend herself. Shalom!
After we attacked Iraq and all of the naysayers screamed about WHY we were attacking Iraq when the majority of the suicide murderers on Sept. 11, 2001 were Saudi, I figured Iraq to be a stepping stone conducive to mounting an entire Middle East assault.
We can do this with Isreal's assist.
Israel has nuclear subs armed with ICBMs. Musharraf is overplaying his hand.
Mush's remark puts things in perspective.
Let's all thank God HE's the head-of-state of the only muslim country with a nuclear weapon, and not some Iran-style theocrat nutjob. We have to keep Mush in power, and at the same time stop Iran going nuclear. If the price we pay is that Mush gets to say some tough-sounding stuff now (and also on Nov 10, when Israel drops the MOABs in operation Osirak II) so as to shore up his base then that's fine by me.
ts, I fear that the world stage would react just like it always has..........that Israel deserved what she got. I think if we were to take the shackels off Israel, she could clean up that mess over in the Middle East. IMHO.

Israel has modified American-supplied cruise missiles to carry nuclear warheads on submarines, giving the Middle East's only nuclear power the ability to launch atomic weapons from land, air and beneath the sea, according to senior Bush Administration and Israeli officials.
The previously undisclosed submarine capability bolsters Israel's deterrence in the event that Iran - an avowed enemy - develops nuclear weapons. It also complicates efforts by the US and the United Nations to persuade Iran to abandon its suspected nuclear weapons program. Two Bush Administration officials described the missile modification and an Israeli official confirmed it. All three refused to be named.
The Americans said they were disclosing the information to caution Israel's enemies at a time of heightened tensions in the region and concern over Iran's alleged ambitions.
Iranian leaders say their nuclear program is solely for generating electricity and are resisting more intrusive inspections by the UN. The UN's International Atomic Energy Agency has given Tehran until October 31 to prove it has no nuclear arms program.
Arab diplomats and UN officials said Israel's steady enhancement of its secret nuclear arsenal, and US silence about it, had increased the desire of Arab states for similar weapons. "The presence of a nuclear program in the region that is not under international safeguards gives other countries the spur to develop weapons of mass destruction," said Nabil Fahmy, Egypt's ambassador to the US. "Any future conflict becomes more dangerous."
While not acknowledging the country's nuclear capability, Israeli officials have promised they would not "introduce" such weapons to the Middle East. Israeli and US officials said that meant Israel would not launch a first strike using the weapons. They argue that other countries have nothing to fear from Israel's nuclear arms, whereas Israel has everything to fear from its neighbours.
An Israeli Government spokesman confirmed that three new submarines carried Harpoon missiles, but he declined to specify the type of warhead.
