The report said that from August 2002 to January 2003 Iraqi commanders across the country were ordered to hide weapons in the countryside. An index to the report says that a branch of Iraqi intelligence trained fighters from Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Lebanon, Lebanese, and Sudan in explosives and marksmanship at Salman Pak, near Baghdad.
Hmmm. Like chemical and biological weapons?
We shall see who has the last laugh after these documents are authenticated.

Brilliant strategy Saddam.
Too bad you're in jail about to go on trial and elections will be held in your country soon.
Yeah, Saddam's so smart. That's why he's in jail. That's why he lived like a rat for months. That's why he gave up "it's good to be the king" over WMD he was afraid to admit he didn't have. Real friggin' smart.
"new information suggests that the United States may have played into Hussein's plans for a quick war followed by a long guerrilla insurgency."
"Ah, infidels, I have you right where I want you" Saddam said as he blearily peered up from his spider hole.
Can't figure out how Saddam could be smarter. He's in jail, and his sons are dead. His country is in a shambles.
Of course, maybe that's what he was trying to accomplish, in which case, he may just be the most ingenious person ever to have lived.
I bet that's what the Globe is talking about.
Only from the morons-cretins-idiots-liberal-demokkkRATs at *The Boston Globulus-Phlegmus*.
Of course he's smarter. Which one knew whether Saddam had WMD? Easy -- Saddam.
No contest.
Sheesh.
What a pile of crap. Right, we played into his hands by occupying his country, killing his two sons, capturing him, and putting him on trial. Yeah, that Saddam is one clever dude.
Wouldn't it be smarter to have invited the inspectors in and complied with the truce argeement? Saddam never believed the US would invade without UN approval. He figured that the Russians and French would veto any US effort to oust him from power because he was paying them off through the Oil for Food program.
If viewed from anything other than the Leftist Media prism, the scorecard reads Rummy 7, Saddamite 0. Saddam's out of power, in jail, without any hope of getting WMDs, Iraq is headed toward elections, and a heap of Saddamites (including Uday and Qusay) are dead. Rummy's still in power, traveling freely, part of an administration that is likely to be re-elected. Hmm, who would I rather be?
By far the cleverest part of his strategic planning was allowing himself to be captured and put on trial.
That way he'll be in Baghdad ready to take over when his Baathist thugs regain control.
