Since there is no more VNS who will be polling? Someone has to pay for it.

Check with Torie, he's the resident exit poll genius.

Google is a very nice thing.....
What is the National Election Pool?

ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, Fox, and NBC, have created the National Election Pool to provide tabulated vote counts and exit poll surveys for the 2004 major presidential primaries and the November general election.

These six major news organization, in a joint decision, have appointed Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International as the sole provider of exit polls for the most important political races of 2004. The AP will tally the vote

The exit poll data is available for purchase by TV-affiliates, newspapers, internet sites and other news outlets. The polling data will be delivered through a secure web application directly to subscribers on primary and election days. Political candidates may subscribe as well, but the data is available one week past voting day.

The exit polls can be expected to be both more biased
(or fraudulent) and less inclusive this season.

The legacy media will attempt to influence the election.

The polls also won't include the absentee vote (largely
military), which is higher this year, and won't include
a possibly larger number of early voters.

I'm encouraging everyone to vote early.

VNS couldn't be trusted, and I doubt whether the new outfit can be trusted either. There's just too much bias and corruption out there. It's gotten to be absolutely shameless.

Will be watching election results overseas and CNN will have them live.

Does anyone know what time ET we will start to know state by state results?

Here's the link for the National Election Pool: http://www.exit-poll.net/index.html

All the main media organizations will be using them on election night. But like others have said, the early voting, and absentee ballots will make exit polls even less accurate than they have been in the past. There only be useful to show a general demographic breakdown of how certain groups are voting, such as if more minorities or women are voting for Bush.

But is best to just look at the returns as they come in, and not worry about exit polls or any polls for that matter.
