HOW MANY of you out there have learned--

if you don't PRINT OUT every good thing you see on line WHILE IT'S THERE it will be gone four years from now??

How many went to look up things for THIS year and found them GONE??

Sure...the Internet is " New ".

Hope everyone made copies of topics that "interest" them--keep them filed and correlated for next time.

The PICS I made a Year ago are NOW not on line!!

Kerry stuff is disappearing!!

Hillary quotes are being pulled from NYTIMES amd other Archives!!--Her PICS from 8 years ago are disappearing too!!

If you have time--are serious about your Politics--print them now.

just a thought--don't try 4 years from NOW to try to find that Pic with Bill, Hillary, and Arafat all kissing, then walking..smiling..like they are a three-some....you won't find it now. I looked--ALL Lins I had from the last pic--sown GONE/ not there/ URL removed.

Yeah.. I just went looking for the articles regarding the 2000 election and a few media down in FL who did recounts as Gore wanted and Bush was ahead in each.... the stories that said Bush had actually won by 500 odd votes. Now all the stories only report that Gore won by 500 thousand votes.

I have them saved in my data base somewhere, I just need to find them.

Why I come here.

I actually accidentally thought of this because of all my 28, 4-draw files I keep--wnet looking for articles on

" UN Inspector MOLES give Saddam Inof on Schedules AND
on AMMO--WEAPONS STOCKPILE STORAGE AREAS!!"

AND COULDN'T FIND IT!!

I went looking to get ready for HILLARY too--

ALOT of old Articles I DO HAVE here--I went to re print--were GONE TOO--but with URL MISING signs.

THAT means--they were according to them--they were NOT PULLED--they are saying they were " never there "
along with " seach titles "
typed 8 times correctly--got same results.

Just a thought--if I HAD Pre-Printed a lot of stuff and filed them--it would't have taken me 3 hours to research/print--to make one lousey campaign poster.

Actually, I have a better suggestion: get a screen capturing tool where you can "print" the screen, portions of the screen, take video of screen interactions, etc.

I use a tool called "Snag-It" by TechSmith (Company Link). It is pretty full featured and captures what you are looking for.

I have used it to capture stuff and display here on FR. Click Here for a sample of what it looks like (story about the Chris Reeves situation, where one of the reporting stations changed the story).

On the Mac, you can capture any document (e.g., a Web page) by "printing" it to a PDF file. Select "Print" from the File menu, and then click on the PDF icon in the lower left of the print dialog.

Boy, howdy, I can confirm this!! In 1994, that wonderful year, the AFL-CIO picked some number of Congressional campaigns (IIRC, 100) to spend lots of money, thugs and other resources and "target" the incumbents. They posted detail but I didn't print copies.

Newt did a real deal on the socialist thugs and when I went back to check, there was no notice of the campaign, not a mention of the millions of extorted dues that had been misspent on failed political adventures.

So, if you see something that makes you say, "Geez, I'd like to rub their nose in that on 11/3," better make a copy now. It won't be anywhere to be found when they return to thew sewers.

I don't have a Mac. I run Windows XP on my laptop and I have a RedHat/Fedora box. There is a tool on my linux box that does screen captures, but I don't think it writes to a PDF.

Anyway, if you have a Mac, starting printing to PDF. And, if you are a Mac user, you may want to set up a FileMaker database where you can save those PDFs too. Type up a little description and you will have the detail at your disposal quickly.

If you have a Windows machine, start capturing them.

One way or another FREEPERs, you should be cataloguing this stuff. We live in a new world and it requires massive effort to keep the story straight.

I had a feeling this was going to happen.

Not to long ago... some "reseachers" wanted us freepers to "give all
we know" about Hillary and her scandals, including WHERE to
find it on the Internet... so they could attack her with it.

for people with Computer-know-how to save info on disks to
be put back on websites when needed.

Even here at FR, a growing-list of news sources won't
allow FR to reprint the whole article, meaning the FACTS
won't be around when needed.
