I went to Madison City Hall today at about 4:00pm. I took some pictures of the Kerry booth, about 75ft from the front door of City Hall. I then went inside and just listened to what the workers were saying to people waiting in line.
I heard one person say he was a resident of Minnesota, but was registered to vote in Madison. He said he had since changed address and asked if he needed to re-register. He was told as long as he was already registered it wouldn't be a problem.
Here's a picture of the Kerry/Edwards booth outside city hall:
Heres a picture that shows the proximity to the entrance. The yellow tape up on the steps is right in front of the front door.
Here's a picture of all the concession stands on the street out front. I heard on the radio that they were giving free cookies and juice to voters in line.
In the last picture there was a guy taking down audio equipment and microphones. This was directly in front of city hall. I don't know what was said into the mics, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Vote Bush.
Uhhh. Any crowd estimates?
I should be clear, the rally was not right in front of city hall. The rally was held about 2 blocks away, at the top of East Washington Ave, if that means anything to anyone.
I was born in Madison, raised in Middleton, right nest door.
I am beyond astonished. A person stood there and said:
I am a resident of Minnesota, but I am registered to vote here in Madison? WTF??????
We are headed for national ID cards with all this voter fraud. The liberals con't want such a system, but they are creating the reason why we need such a card, etc.
If the person at the desk told this person that was ok, and they could vote, I am more than ashamed as to the liberal lying depths my birth town has sunk to.
This puts the final in the coffin for me. I will never go back there when I retire. My funds and living costs will be spent in another area, maybe southern Missouri. This saddens me more than I can really express.
