NBC Nightly News is airing an interview with President Bush that Tom Brokaw did recently. Bush actually called "old brokjaw" a Monday Morning Quarterback when Brokaw asked him if he would do everything the same in regards to Iraq! Bush was awesome!!!! Will be airing more of the interview on Dateline... (Mom, I promise the tv was still on NBC from the Nascar race...I didn't deliberately watch NBC News)
I saw that and Bush put Tom in his place. It was nice to see.
When Brokaw's Kerry interview was on last week, I wondered when Bush would get equal time. Kind of interesting it's on Sunday, a time when I assume far fewer people are watching a news broadcast.
Not just a Sunday, but Halloween too.. Lot of people are dealing with kids, costumes, and candy...
Brokaw's Everyone believes the economy is bad (or somesuch) really ticked me off. I just checked the company I work for: earning are up 37% over 3rd quarter '03. The President answered but c'mon.
Sunday is typically the largest viewing night for television if I remember correctly
Yeah, but what will Dateline NBC put on the air?
60 Minutes features a segment: "Soldiers lack the fully-armored vehicles necessary to survive constant roadside bombings in Iraq." Now, anyone care to venture a guess how Bush will be portrayed?
OK...but if you tell anyone that I was watching Tom Brokaw...I'll deny it.
Notice they have made very little mention of the kerry/brokejaw kissup. The one where kerry refers to 9/11 as a 'raid'.
Geez! Was Brockaw snarly and had his lips pursed so tight. That liberal anger just comes through. He really tried to slam Bush and I am so glad The Prez put him in his place. Wimpus Olympus Brockaw just backed down, with a nasty look on his face.
Revised quote from the 70's:
"Liberals are the only ones who can say 'Love' through clenched teeth."
I timed Kerry's at 8 minutes. Bush at 5 minutes. Hardly 'equal'.
When is Dateline?
We're having a weird Halloween...we've only had two groups of kids. Not a normal turnout at all. We live in a Democratic precinct, my husband thinks they might be avoiding the house because of the Bush/Cheney sign in the yard, LOL.
Tonight, NBC took out Kerry's comment about "I don't know how they did that, because I haven't released my military records". This is BLATANT BIAS!
You are so right, I could not believe it. They did it smoothly too. If I had not seen it the other day I would not have noticed it.
I saw that one, too. It infuriated me. Nothing makes it clearer that brokejaw is just another Dem shill.
I understand stories need editing, but geez, they snipped off the end of the Kerry's answer! Why not just cut and paste the whole thing?
'Wimpus Olympus Brockaw just backed down, with a nasty look on his face. "
I know this thread is basically dead, but I have to tell you, you nailed the 'look' on Tom Broke's face.
I have seen him in many, many interviews, and in this one, I saw an expression on his face I have never seen before in all these years; scared concern to the question 'knowing everything you know now, would you agree w/ Cheney? that you would make the EXACT same decisions?' What a totally faked look ... a perfect cut away to the concerned, almost scared TV guy, the little guy who represents all of us.
(Just one problem; I was in a home of a very democratic woman once, who would curl up w/ coffee to watch 'tom'. At the end, when he would sign off w/ 'good night', she would sigh softly and in a sing song way say 'good night Tom'. And yes, this woman was middle aged, and single. The NBC demographers know well indeed how to get Tom to look when the right guy is in front of him and the 'wrong' guy is in front of him.).
Bush absolutely slammed him, but jovially. Brokaw is a slut for high money dems in NY, that is certain; but to see him descend to this extent, this late in his career....
It must mean that his brains are indeed aging...
I am so going to enjoy watching the MSM talking heads, each getting older and older drop away in the coming years.
Their replacements have NOT A SHRED OF HOPE of ever getting the brand loyalty of their predecessors. The net, cable ... Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter... (God, why haven't they appeared jointly on TV yet??))
Well, it's a dead thread, so I felt like a rant a bit. Actually, the activity tonight is pretty lame, and that, I think is a really, really good sign for Bush...
Enjoyed the rant. If we saw it, so must have a lot of others.Hee-haw! If Brockaw keeps this up, he's going to need jaw surgery.
