What is it about American Politics that make people cling so desperately to simple answers? Rove was a PART of the win but not the cause of the win. The issue is far far more complex. The War, 9-11, Economic issues, Social issues etc etc etc. There are millions of reasons why people voted for Bush. Rove helped get the message out but he did not "Cause" the victory. The Dinasour media still does NOT get it. Bush is the real deal, not a Rove Crafted package marketed to the American people.

Rove is O.K. I wouldn't call him a genius, but he delivered the goods. He did have a good candidate. The best thing about bush is his ability to pick good people around him.

Michael Moore deserves a lot of credit for the bush win too. His ability to get hordes of lefties into a frothy rage alienated many kerry/edwards voters who then switched to voting for bush. We will have to remember to give him another brown bag full of cash prior to the 2008 election.

It looks to be about 5%. And Rove is no genius. Bush won despite Rove and others. They not only insisted that he SLAM the Swifties, in deference to that loser, McCain, but that he begin talking about 'gay partnerships' just days before 'gay marriage' was defeated on eleven ballots around the country, which some think help explain part of why Bush got so many votes from those who showed up to vote on such propositions.

I just wish all these retrospect articles on the election was just recognize the fact

That the SWIFITIES completely torpedoed Kerry's attempt at the convention to use the REPORTING FOR DUTY bogus ploy

He Got NO BUMP from the convention and had to run and hide from the Swifities from then on in to the end

His campaign was in freefall and his backers demoralized until Biush's performance after the first debate re-energized them

These guys put it on the line
GIVE THEM THE CREDIT THEY SO RICHLY DESERVE
