More than a dozen traumatized John Kerry supporters have sought and received therapy from a licensed Florida psychologist since their candidate lost to President Bush, the Boca Raton News learned Monday. Boca Raton trauma specialist Douglas Schooler said he has treated 15 clients and friends with “intense hypnotherapy” since the Democratic nominee conceded last Wednesday. “I had one friend tell me he’s never been so depressed and angry in his life,” Schooler said. “I observed patients threatening to leave the country or staring listlessly into space. They were emotionally paralyzed, shocked and devastated.”

The libs don't need Freudian psychology, they need an exorcism.

I'll nominate that for Quote of the Day.

They're just upset because Florida isn't the center of the universe this time around...They lost! I learned that in grade school when I never got picked for sports cause I was so small...When the popular kids didn't "choose" me..Well guess what! I made it and I'm happy and well adjusted enough to know how to vote for a winner...They thought they'd be in the spotlight counting again and all the networks would interview them!! That's all there is to it...Get over it!

I can only think these people have no life; like those who get too engrossed in soap operas, they seek artificial companionship in scripted relationships. What they need is a heavy dose of responsiblity! Try getting more active with the grandkids, do some charity work for the have-nots, anything to get involved in living and doing rather than feeling sorry for yourself. Life doesn't cheat you...you cheat yourself by bowing out of it!

But, then, some people can't stop smoking! Easier to say
"I've tried; I'm addicted." OK...it WAS your life!

They should have sought therapy before they voted.

Not Freudian, new age. I don't think they would have a priest any where near them. Too Neandertal. Only knuckle-draggers believe in that voodoo.

...prevent the recurrence of Kerry-related suicides like the one in New York City...
Um, I was under the impression that they found a note with that guy and chalked it up to a romantic triangle, no??

LOL! I mis-read the end of the article (skipped a line) and it came out: "I help them transform the anger into [skip] despair, hopelessness, powerlessness, a failure to function behaviorally, a sense of disillusionment, of not wanting to vote anymore – that sort of thing."

You are absolutely correct. It's like the time when they asked then candidate Bush what he would do if he lost the election to Al Gore. He said he would go back to his home in Texas and continue to live his life. Al Gore on the other hand had nothing else after that even though he had a family. He went to pieces. This is the same ilk seeking professional help.

I would think you would seek professional help for something really worthwhile like after 9-11. THAT made people depressed and sad and feeling badly but....they all pulled together and did what they could to help those who were in a terrible world of hurt.

If these people have to seek help over an election result all I can say is I'm glad their party LOST. Heaven forbid should they suffer some kind of attack...they would fold run in a closet and suck their thumbs while everyone else put themselves in harms way to help others.

It's so typical anymore of what they will say and do it's sickening. Losers all and THAT was proven on election day.

We have the right man at the right time and thank God all his supporters are strong and can and have stood up under immense pressure unlike the opposition and their following.

By the way, I quit smoking in 1989. Put my cigarettes on the windowsill, began walking 4 miles and day and never looked back. :)

Good for you! I quit in '83. Said to myself if they raise
the price of ciggies once more, I'm quitting! They did and I did! It's called determination. All you have to do is
find your own cut-off limit. <>g<>
