Not that anyone had any doubts, but CNN made its stance on the abortion issue crystal clear in the context of an interview by Inside Politics' Judy Woodruff of former U.S. Rep. Tim Roemer of Indiana, who has announced that he is seeking the chairmanship of the DNC.
Unusual for a Democrat, Roemer is pro-life.
But on the two occasions when that fact arose, Woodruff referred to Roemer not as being "pro-life," but as being "opposed to abortion rights for women."
Yet when Woodruff quoted Kate Michelman, former head of NARAL, who condemned Roemer's candidacy, she referred to pro-abortion people as being "pro-choice."
Thus rather than according the two groups the monikers they prefer - pro-life and pro-choice - CNN accorded that favor only to the pro-abortion side, framing the issue exclusively in terms of rights and choice, and casting pro-lifers as people who would deny rights to women.
As an aside, when on a couple occasions Roemer offered his nostrums as to what was necessary to get the Democrat party going again, Woodruff noddingly agreed "we hear you." You almost expected her to whip her DNC membersship card out of her purse and waive it around!
is that true? if so, could you provide a link for proof, because i have a few people ID like to forward that to...
My term for Fox News: "Excellent News Organization".
My term for CNN: "Lying bastards".
"Supports killing the unborn"
"Approves Infanticide"
"Believes Scott Peterson wouldn't have killed his wife had she been willing to abort Connor"
"Approves killing black fetus' at twice the rate of whites"
"Thinks China's 'one child' policy is too generous"
"Favors the protection of Baby Killers"
just a few random suggestion to Judy to spice up CNN and improve their ratings
what are talking about? i asked for proof that...
***In Massachusetts a man must get his wife's permission to get a vasectomy.***

You left off "Natacidists"
Pro-choice: Will Kill For Sex
I watch Inside Politics from time to time because it does focus on politics. They often have good guests, and I'm such a political junkie that I'm willing to countenance the crap in order to pick up the occasionally interesting nugget of info. FNC doesn't have a show quite like it. I wish they did.
Finally, I enjoy keeping an eye on what the MSM media are up to, and occasionally reporting back on it to my fellow FRepers.
Good take...and tagline.
There was a startlingly good series of articles in the LA Times (!!) maybe 12 years ago on just this theme. Never read anything like it, before or since. You actually could not tell the reporter's own position.
But he reported very fairly and comprehensively on how the abortion issue itself is reported. And he talked about this very matter, the fact that positive terms are reserved for abortion proponents, while opponents are described in terms of what they are against. Thus the image of the advocates of slaughter is positive, while the champions of the innocent are painted negatively.

Should be:
Pro-life
Pro-death
Those are the choices. To kill an unborn person, or not.
