IF you are ever in their part of Vermont, I suggest a trip to the Vermont Teddy Bear factory. It's pretty neat, especially for kids.

From the article...

The Valentine's Day-themed bear, called "Crazy for You Bear," comes in a straightjacket with commitment papers, and is meant to convey out-of-control love.

Their spelling sure is crazy. It's straitjacket.

To be realistic, it should come in a model of Boston's South Station, be wearing a filthy black overcoat, and should be posed cleaning out its nose with a Starbuck's plastic coffee spoon...

Ok so it's not as tasteful as, say, a Patsy Kline song. I like it, and there's a dash of poetic justice in it being a Vermont teddy bear. If Dean runs again we'll have use for this critter.

They're WAY expensive, but they're also really well made, and really very cute. I've bought a few in the past. Last month I bought one of the "Birthday Suit" bears for my girl friend, and it's really cute.

Oops, the wrong Teddy.

Did you see the speech by Teddy Kennedy, the guy with the ideology and girth of an extinct volcano, at the National Press Club?

He messed up "Obama" with "Osama."

Looked a slight bit sauced to me when he did it.
