I can't wait to see which of the Dem Senators try to attach themselves to this accomplishments.
Success has a million fathers, while failure is an orphan.
Rather must be suffering internal gut spasms considering the fact that he has been forced to report that President Bush was right all along and the Iraqi's ARE clamboring for freedom and democracy.
Excerpted from the last few paragraphs of Blather's Bloviating. Go away, Dan. You are irrelevant.
No.
Why the mainstream media usually gets it wrong:
They read and watch their own programs.
You may be right...did you know that long ago, Peggy Noonan wrote some of his commentaries? Unbelievable.
A purple finger to show support for the President's policies in Iraq, would be a great reminder to the public of just what has just happened there.
Uhhhhh. I don't care. Dan Rather still Sucks.
Heh, heh. Yeah. Sucks!
I think Gunga Dan should have covered the election from Baghdad and everyone with a purple finger should be entitled to jab it in Dan's eye.
Along the same line, they should also be entitled to sodomize Ted Kennedy - if they could overcome their revulsion.
But when you read it you can't perceive the tears he must be fighting back as a result of the U S success
Kudos to Dan Rather for getting it right. This should not be a day of partisan gloating. Extend the olive branch. We are sowing the seeds of freedom and liberty. This day will go down in history, and not just American history.
It is a great day to be an American. We should all be proud. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Thanks for letting us know what Dan said. How else would we have known?
The RATS are sure to say that if they hadn't "kept Bush's feet to the fire" he'd have been too lackadaisacal to have pulled this off.
But then that's all they do...talk, talk, talk...and they think that's what work is. They're a waste of perfectly good oxygen.
Dan probably admitted the good election news in Iraq only after being browbeaten by the CBS brass, who have had enough PR embarrassment for awhile. Dan is probably on his way to depressed-DemonRat therapy right now.
Why does Roger Mudd have to be maligned. I liked him -- where is he?
NBC just reported that turnout was about 50% nationwide, and about 5% in Al-Anbar, with 1% in Fallujah. It looks like the early numbers may have been exaggerated.
(And Kerry really thought he would win this one).

I always find it bemusing when folks like Rather have a quick bought of sanity.
Similar to the US, and no one is threatening to kill us if we go to the polls.
