. Unreal. I thought he was drunk. He's from DEA. They get all "good stuff". He might have been high. More likely he's just stupid.

What the H*#@ is any person, cop or not, doing with a loaded gun in a classroom? No gun should be brought into a classroom, maybe pictures if necessary. If he'd left it in the holster, he'd have been fine. As far as not bringing guns into the classroom goes, it would be very difficult to shoot someone who needed shooting, to protect the students, if you didn't have a gun, now wouldn't it? This wasn't even a regular class session, as evidenced by the large number of adults, apparently parents, in the room.

Schools are supposed to safe areas so no guns allowed, but the ATF and FBI carries As do the local police... I hope. Many school districts have their own police forces, and hope to hell they are armed since the gang bangers and others who would harm students very likely are.

I had the misfortune to have an LEO conducting a Pennsylvania CCW class I was attending (You need either an LEO or a lawyer conduct the "what is the applicable law" segment, so most of the time an LEO does the whole thing). When was this? There are no classes required for a CCW in PA and hasn't been for quite some time.

There are no classes required for a CCW in PA and hasn't been for quite some time. About 4 years ago. Although not required, a bunch of us decided it would be prudent to take the NRA "Personal Protection Course" and have the certificate on record

Yes but they don't need to carry unstable weapons into schools .

One aquaintance was starting to swing an 'unloaded' shotgun(To me, guns are always loaded) around. I told him if that muzzle is pointed at me, I'm was going to deck him.
He got the message real quick, and I didn't have to deck him.

Okay. Thanks.
Of course, if you ever did need to use deadly force, the media will try to portray you are a certified killer.

Of course, if you ever did need to use deadly force, the media will try to portray you are a certified killer. And if I have no training in firearms handling, they'll do worse. It's a sufficiently "can't win" situation that I don't bother thinking about it.
I just try to maintain my proficiency sufficiently that I'm more likely to hit the bad guy than the baby carriage across the street

"It puts a lot of undercover agents in jeopardy if their faces are videotaped," the masked agent told Local 6 News. "His identity is burned. His identity is known as a police officer and its a potential personal safety hazard to himself as well as his family members."Yeah. That's why they send him to public schools to execute gun safety demonstrations. This whole thing just boggles the mind. Seems the guy was a walking, ebonics-talking potential safety hazard without the video tape. [cue Miami Vice theme music]
Bump to "it's hard to imagine those fed goons being any more arrogant."

Schools are supposed to safe areas so no guns allowedYou parrot the Brady line well. Law abiding citizens don't carry into schools where this is the case. Law breakers will still carry guns into shchools, hence "no guns" isn't the end result, is it?
Teachers and the public are allowed to carry in public schools in my state with a carry permit.
Glock is not the unstable element in this story.
When your facts are correct, perhaps your opinions won't be suspect.

Do you understand that the trigger is the "on" button for any gun?
Kind of a point and click kind of thing.

Hey guys, can we verify that he in fact had a bullet wound ?
the more I think about this, especially with the 'trained professional' comments, the more this sounds like a scare em away from guns type of display...
