"Politics is the Art of the Possible."
Tancredo ain't possible.
If the immigration issue continues to pick up steam it's entirely possible. The GOP establishment better start listening to their constituents or they're going to be in for a helluva surprise.
And even if Tancredo doesn't get the nomination he'll force the pro-Mexamerica wing of the GOP to address the issue. ....which can only be a good thing.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Why not? Because he's not a Globalist-RINO??
Neither is Bush's policies towards illegal immigration......Tancredo would never let Fox treat him like a red-headed stepchild.
I'm getting sick and tired of just because the rats villify someone and call him or her a bunch of names, the party leadership starts getting all weak-kneed and panty-waisted and assumes there's something wrong with the individual. I assumed, based on what I had heard, that Tancredo was some sort of hair-on-fire vigilante nut case. Then I started seeing him on the talk shows and found a calm, centered, reasonable man who had well thought-out views, and a firm insistence that policy has to be derived from a foundation of securing the borders. From what I know now, I'd support him in a heartbeat. I think he has the looks, personality, ideas, and communication skills to make a formidible candidate in 2008. Something I can't really say for anybody else but Dick Cheney, and I have to say that I would be walking on eggshells the whole time he was running and presiding in fear that he would keel over dead one day of a massive coronary.
