Tancredo considers White House bid
World Net Daily ^ | 3/28/2005

Posted on 03/28/2005 6:54:06 PM PST by 4.1O dana super trac pak

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., fresh from victory in three online presidential straw polls over formidibale candidates, told Joseph Farah's radio audience today he would run for president in 2008 if no other Republican candidate takes the border issue seriously.

"I'll tell you what," he said, "if no one else does, I will do it."

Tancredo is the head of the House Immigration Reform Caucus and has challenged his own party's president on the issue of insecure border and his proposed "guest worker" proposal.

Tancredo said he was encouraged by President Bush's recent meeting with Mexican President Vicente Fox because the U.S. leader told his counterpart he would continue to push for more lenient immigration policies but would not guarantee they would be approved by Congress.

The Colorado congressman said he believes Bush was signaling defeat and giving permission to GOP dissenters to vote their conscience on the issue.

Oh and you think mass illegal immigration is going to fix Social Security?

No I think increased legal immigration will reduce some of the problem we now have including illegal immigration, and the solution to Social security is to privatize it as Dubya wants.

Do yourself a favor -- take your magic-mushroom-addled delusion and lock yourself up in your attic.

Another personal attack to obfuscate the fact there is no proof La Raza is a racist organization. Instead of providing even a small shred of evidence your side just gets louder and shriller. Very lame.

Kill the messenger ignore the message, huh? Even if that website does claim all people are whackjobs, it does not disprove the facts they use to show Perot is a nut job.

Your embarrassing lack of knowledge, truth, and complete disengagement from reality justifies double padlocking the attic door.

Black out the windows while you're at it.

I think Perot is a little strange myself, but everyone is portrayed as whackjob on that site.

They have a page on George W. Bush, are you going to go by that?

Somehow I start to worry about his safety....

Why do you keep dodging my point?

Bush has greatly expanded spending on social programs well in excess of Bill Clinton, and, incredibly, enacted the largest new entitlement since LBJ's Great Society days...in a time of war no less. All this on top of a federal budget already drenched in red ink. Does this sound conservative to you?

And if Bush is truly concerned with the solvency of social security why is he trying to extend social security to cover Mexican Illegal Aliens? A new burden that the CBO tabs at some $300+ billion.

I'm getting sick and tired of just because the rats villify someone and call him or her a bunch of names, the party leadership starts getting all weak-kneed and panty-waisted and assumes there's something wrong with the individual. I assumed, based on what I had heard, that Tancredo was some sort of hair-on-fire vigilante nut case. Then I started seeing him on the talk shows and found a calm, centered, reasonable man who had well thought-out views, and a firm insistence that policy has to be derived from a foundation of securing the borders. From what I know now, I'd support him in a heartbeat. I think he has the looks, personality, ideas, and communication skills to make a formidible candidate in 2008. Something I can't really say for anybody else but Dick Cheney, and I have to say that I would be walking on eggshells the whole time he was running and presiding in fear that he would keel over dead one day of a massive coronary.

Just because they like him doesn't make him a white supremacist. If that's the bullet the communists are going to try to use to knock him off, he needs to be thinking about how he's going to deal with it now. At this point, unless confronted with some proof, I'd be hard pressed to believe he is a racist.

Still waiting for some evidence to go with the personal attacks. You're not very good with facts.

La Raza, the truth they don't want you to hear.

With all the Pro-illegal's ranting about facts, and the active support of La Raza by Attorney General Gonzales, President Bush, Home Depot and numerous other organizations, I felt compelled to unmask La Raza and their ilk for what they really are, Racist/Anti-Americans.

La Raza Unida(The direct predecessor to La Raza), a violent Hispanic organization, was founded with a $630,000 Ford Foundation grant and a subsequent grant of $1,300,000 also from the Ford Foundation.. In 1970, the California Senate Fact-Finding Subcommittee on Un-American Activities said this about La Raza Unida: "Its president is Maclovio Barraza. Mr. Barraza has been identified by the Subversive Activities Control Board as a member of the Communist Party, and presides over the Council which recently received a grant of $1,300,000 from the Ford Foundation."

The following is taken directly from NCLR's website. Notice the fact that they admit not only that Maclovio Barraza is the founding chairperson of NCLR, but that they consider him a leader to look up to.

Maclovio Barraza Leadership Award
The Maclovio Barraza Leadership Award, named in honor of the NCLR Board of Directors founding Chairperson, recognizes an individual whose leadership has served as a source of strength and support to the Hispanic community. Maclovio Barraza, a lifelong labor activist, helped organize the mine, Mill and Smelter Workers Union, and was part of its Executive Board until 1967 when it merged with the United Steelworkers Union. At the time of his death, Maclovio Barraza was leading major negotiations to improve the conditions of Hispanics working in the copper industry in Arizona. The recipient must have done work for the betterment of the Hispanic community which is on a local grassroots level, and his or her contributions must be recent and relevant to contemporary Hispanic America.

So we have an organization that not only supports Communists(Anti-Americans), but is also directly linked with La Raza Unida( A very Militant Anti-(all non-Hispanics)). To say nothing of direct links to The Ford Foundation. And yet we have people who continually say that La Raza not racist or Anti-American. Hopefully the above will give others the ammo against La Raza and their supporters.

Bush has greatly expanded spending on social programs well in excess of Bill Clinton

You keep saying that but you don't have any figures. I tried searching myself but I can't find a good comparison site that shows social spending under Clinton and Dubya. Do you have one?

and, incredibly, enacted the largest new entitlement since LBJ's Great Society days.

The people demanded a prescription drug benefit. Whether it was Dubya or a rat administration it was going to happen. The plan passed through the Republican congress. I do not fault Dubya for doing what the voters want.

And if Bush is truly concerned with the solvency of social security why is he trying to extend social security to cover Mexican Illegal Aliens?

Because they are paying into it.

So despite the fact that he was correct on NAFTA, GATT, illegal immigration, fedgov control of public schools, responsible gov't spending, etc.........you put more emphasis on a few questionable stories despite the fact the man has spent millions of his $ to save POW's and his own employees from foreign captivity as well as millions in donations to various charities......looks like you're the whackjob in this discussion.

To Be Continued:

I should hope so because links to the Ford Foundation or the communist party do not in and of themselves make La Raza a racist organization. I have no trouble saying La Raza is a socialist organization just as the NAACP is a socialist organization.

At the time of his death, Maclovio Barraza was leading major negotiations to improve the conditions of Hispanics working in the copper industry in Arizona.

This is your evidence that La Raza is racist? Are you joking?

but is also directly linked with La Raza Unida( A very Militant Anti-(all non-Hispanics)).

This is still your opinion no matter how you try to dress it up with extraneous quotes. Your points are not germane to this argument. You are misdirecting away from racism and toward socialism. They are 2 different things.

Perot was wrong on NAFTA and GATT. He was correct that time would cause the loss of manufacturing jobs. We would likely be in much worse shape today if NAFTA and GATT failed. It has created wealth for America and our trading partners.

You can't convince me or 95% of America that Perot is not a whackjob. We saw him run for President in 92 and 96. He can run again but he can ever win.

Amazing, the truth is staring you in the face and you still have the nerve to say they are not Racist/Anti-Americans. But I expect nothing less from someone who supports one form of racism over another. What part of La Raza Unida(The direct predecessor to La Raza) did you not understand?

I guess in your mind facts only add up if you say so huh? I will be sure to let the world know that you think all the offshoots of the KKK are not racist either. You are more then welcome to disprove my facts, but that would involve changing government documents and NCLR's own website. Oh and you might want to learn the Meaning of Communism versus Socialism, try here www.dictionary.com

I have learned a valuble lesson here, you are not worth the time it takes to post to because among many other things you are a enemy of facts.
