No flames from me I like Tancredo and would vote for him if it looked like he had a chance.

I heard him in person. He is awesome. He'd make a great president.

Good. It is nice for someone to stir-the-pot once in awhile.

Tancredo ain't possible.

I'd love to see the Dems run against someone whose most "controversial" stance was securing our borders. Imagine the spin they'd have to put on this one.
I post on several boards some partisan, some mixed. Even on the most mixed boards border control and illegal immigration are the most universal subjects with people of all political stripes. Throw in social services for illegals and I've never seen anything but universal agreement that something needs to be done.

I should have said 'Usual suspects flame away.' I guess they haven't seen this thread yet.

Pat Buchanan is deeply saddened. On the bright side, the Brigadiers will have something to occupy themselves with on FreeRepublic for the next three years.

If nothing else, the immigration/borders issue will be brought into the open, which is a very good thing. Some will try to label Tancredo as being a "Buchananite," but there's one difference: Tancredo's positions are usually well thought out, and not moonbat material, the way Pat's are when he's off his meds. Does he stand a chance of gaining the nomination? As good a chance as anyone at this point, to be honest....and if we can keep our heads about us, we might actually be able to discuss immigration/borders in an intelligent fashion which would (I think) hurt the Dems.
Go for it, Tom! You'll make it interesting, at least!

You are prolly right about "the usual suspects" not seeing the thread yet---LOL
You will prolly get flamed, but not by me---I have seen Tom Tancredo stand up in the HOuse at ll:00 at night and talk for an hour non-stop about the immigration problem or education (another subject he is passionate about) and I will be mesmerized---he is a good speaker.
I also noticed (for what its worth) in the House last Sunday night for the vote on the Terri bill---don't know if he talked, if he did, I didn't see him---I am going to guess he voted FOR the bill.

Tancredo or Paul otherwise I'll vote NO! That's a strange combination - aren't they polar opposites on the immigration issue?
