IT TAKES A CERTAIN AMOUNT of chutzpah to write a book called God's Politics. But you have only to read a few pages of Jim Wallis's new bestseller by that name to discover that it isn't actually about the politics of an all-knowing, all-seeing, all-powerful deity at all. Instead, it's 384 pages of Jim's politics, and Jim (with a couple of notable exceptions) is a pretty average, down-the-line leftist who, by the way, believes in God.

Bingo! Wallis is one of the most dangerous influences on the church at large (all denominations are buying this heresy) right now. I think a lot of average church goers are unaware of the error seeping in in the guise of 'blessing the poor.'

Check my recent posts. I'm trying to keep abreast of what Sojourners is up to. It's seemed to gain a lot of speed in the last few years, since the Demoncrats have realized religion can be a powerful motivator and tried to harness its 'energy' for their own agenda.

BTW Wallis had the gall to suggest that religious right people are consumed with ideology, that ideology is one of the 'principalities and powers' that we war against as Christians. This would imply that he does NOT have an ideology, since he's got it all figured out in his book God's Politics.

I recently downloaded a talk he gave at the Kennedy institute for Government which talked about this book. The essence is the Conservatives are bad guys, misguided, wrong, selfish, etc, but the left just have to return to their optimistic activist roots and have courage to stand up for their convictions once again. gag me.

As Wallis sees it, Bush and other Republicans want to make Americans believe that Jesus is--in a favorite refrain--"pro-war, pro-rich, and only pro-American."

Mr. Wallis, slander is included in "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor."

Saul Alinsky's books: Rules for Radicals and Reveille for Radicals

In the 60's, as a radical hippy-type mentality herself at Wellesley, Hillary Clinton was so enamored of Saul Alinsky and his *methods* she wrote her senior thesis under his mentoring.

Barbara Olson's book, "Hell To Pay" which dissects Hillary, used Alinsky's comments as chapter lead-ins.

(Barbara Olson died in the plane that hit the Pentagon on 9-11)

There is a chapter in Rules for Radicals that details how to steal an election.

It was an exact blueprint of what happened in Florida 2000.

1 - Question the validity of the vote - done by pre-arranged phone banks in St Louis calling democratic voters to ask if they had mistakenly voted for Buchanan

2 - Demand a recount.

3 - Try and forment a rabble on the streets - Remember Jesse Jackson's (failed) attempts at that?

4 - Litigate

5 - Obfuscate, keep counting..

If you read the book you will be amazed at how closely the plan was followed..

another good one, thanks! In the Communist Manifesto, also, there are eerie parallels to what is going on in this country.
