The real reason is so he could tell Carter that they had already filled their quota for bumbling, doofus, smarmy, self-righteous, democratic ex-presidents...
Has anyone seen an article that discussed how Clinton returned from the pope's funeral? I had seen that he did not return on Air Force One but now I can not find it.
If anyone knows of a link I would greatly appreciate it.

I read where he returned on a "support" aircraft. One can only hope he was strapped to a pallet in the belly of a C-130 with two engines functioning...making it a long, long trip.
Maybe Bubba REQUESTED a seat on the 'support' aircraft.
