I began my journey watching EWTN. If you have already decided on a parish talk with them. RCIA courses begins in Sept in our parish and culminates on the Easter Vigil . I did run across what appears to be an excellent site for information on RCIA education.

The folks at the parish I attend have welcomed me with open arms. I now belong to the St Vincent Society and was made Coordinator to Safe Environment for Youth and Children.

"These important tools of communication can favor reciprocal knowledge and dialogue, or on the contrary, they can fuel prejudice and disdain between individuals and peoples; they can contribute to spreading peace or fomenting violence."

Back when names were being bandied about, names I really wasn't familiar with, a comment was written in a critique of possible successors. It was a negative comment directed at this man. That comment? He was critical of the media. I came to know of the man from Africa since that name was spoken often, but it was only this one that made an impression.

I'm not Catholic. I can't say I KNEW this man would be chosen as Pope. But I do find it interesting his was the only name I forged a connection..a memory with.

I love his statement above, very apt. Long overdue Truth.

And, I agree. Immediately upon selection I felt this Pope's duty would be to confront secularism. Humanism. Entering Into the heart of the beast. The heart of this movement. Europe.

That he would come from Germany made perfect sense.

Welcome to the Church!

I called this church that was the only one with a Tridentine Mass in Houston last night and asked if they were still doing it, and the priest I talked to said they would be doing it at 8:00 AND 11:00 for the Feast of the Ascension.

Are you talking about Annunciation Church? Now that's what a Catholic Church should always look and be like.

If you're going old school, seems to me you ought to go by the old book, too. The rack is for pansies.

ahhh but let them. Nothing like having ones Holy Father, and Church attacked, to bring out the conservative in Catholics, who might at the moment be Liberals. Not all to be sure, but anyone still on the fence, won't like it.

Let the media print their worst, it just makes them all the more on the fringe, and makes it all the more apparent to all who see it.

Indeed she would have. Lord but I do miss Ronald Reagan! He too, could handle a liberal. And stop them cold.
