Until Dr. Frist pulls the trigger, the RNC, NRSC, or any other national Republican organization will not get one dime from me.

This will deeply sadden Harry Reid.

Call me old fashioned... but I'd like Frist to force an actual 24/7 filibuster before "pulling the trigger."

Cancel the lobbyist junkets, the golf games, even weekends with the family. Live on the Senate floor 24/7 until the Rats capitulate.

That is how the filibuster is supposed to work.

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist plans for Texas Supreme Court Justice Priscilla Owen to be the judicial nomination on which he uses the "nuclear option" ....

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Blah, blah, blah. I'll believe it when I see it and not a second before.

And once again, here's a little help for you.

he uses the "nuclear option" against Democratic filibusters later this month

Personally, I am getting real tired of "later this month", etc., etc., etc.
This thing has been dragging on way too long.

Republicans were particularly outraged when Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat and a member of the Judiciary Committee, referred to Justice Owen and other Bush nominees as "neanderthal."

OMG, I never heard about this. Coming out of Kennedy's mouth, this kind of quote could keep Rush Limbaugh busy for months!

"Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist plans for Texas Supreme Court Justice Priscilla Owen to be the judicial nomination on which he uses the "nuclear option" against Democratic filibusters later this month,; according to Republicans familiar with his plans.

Do it NOW!

Why wait?

I'm sorry folks. At this point, with all that has gone on (and has been said or "floated") in the past couple of days by the likes of RINO, Hagel, "has-been" Lott and a few others, I am "concerned" (scared sh*tless, more like it) that if Frist waits much longer, it will simply give the opposition more time to demagogue this issue and create more mischief; witness the Bolton hearings.

What I'm even more worried about is that Frist does NOT have the votes.

If one adds up the RINOS, there is reason to be scared: John McSwine; Chuck Haggg-le; Olympia Snowe-job; Susan Call-ins; Lincoln Chaff-eeeee.

That makes 5.

Now we add the semi-Rino, "weak" Pubes: Specter, Voin-a-bitch and one that does not get much press, but has made some troubling comments, Lisa Murkowski, Alaska, then that adds up to a possible 8 "defecting turncoats" and a definite defeat.

To which I say: "Go ahead, 'traitors,' make our day;" and yours are numbered!

At least we will know who stands where and we can plan to work toward their defeat in 06/08. I know, I know. Not likely, but its nice to dream. LOL

Believe me, I know what its like. Living in Vermont and having had to put up with the Numero Uno RINO of all time-- Jumpin Jim.

Of course now, my prognostication is these libs/dims/socialist up here will elect Bernie (the "avowed" socialist) Sanders. (Read my tag--18 days and a wakeup).

Moreover, I started quite a while ago (even though I gave up my official R standing back in 75, I still contribute to individuals and occasionally to the Party) sending "empty" envelopes when asked for contributions with a little "note" enclosed therein, explaining why no one will get another dime from me until the Pubes grow a spine!!!

Lastly, I'm going to keep asking this question, until someone comes up with an answer we can use against the dims (although we'll never see the MSM portray it as such) and that is: "WHY ARE THERE ONLY RINOS AND NO DINOS?"

Was Teddy really expelled from Harvard for cheating? I've NEVER heard of this before today. Can anyone provide documentation? Now, I know it doesn't rival his manslaughter of Mary Jo, but it might catch on with the younger crowd. We should hammer him with this fact, if it is so.

I'll believe it when I see it.

If the parties changed places and the dems were in majority, with Repubs filisterbustering, they would use it in an eye blink.

About time.

There was also an excellent piece from Tod Lindberg in the Washington Times this morning - Stop the filibustering.

He made a point that I haven't seen elsewhere, and hadn't gotten around to writing about myself. I've been snickering for weeks at the idea that the Republicans shouldn't change the filibuster rules because they'll want it when they're the minority party again.
