Allen looking good so far.

Plus Allen is a former governor and should break the Senator's curse. I think it will come down to Allen and Mitt Romney. I don't think the Republicans have ever ran a former governor of Virginia, but this is what happened the last time a conservative Virginian ran for president:

Nope, Allen can't win. No senator can.
The only chance the Repubs have of holding on to the presidency is Condi, She will bring the Women and the Blacks and and she has true credentials on a global level.
We don't need another Bob Dole who gets to run just because its HIS TURN.

I want Condi to run on a federalist libertarian platform so she could put up justices to put abortion in charge of the individual states and give tax breaks(not vouchers because that will lead to government intervention) to people who provide their own children's education.

Fine by me. George Allen was my pick before all this filibuster stuff hit the fan. Bright, young, looks good
in a suit and is conservative. Everything we thought we'd get when we voted for Bush.....

I can't remember the source but heard that Warner doesn't regard Allen highly. He wouldn't want to do anything to help his Presidential bid Well, that sellout that Warner helped craft last week just backfired and propelled Allen to the front of the pack.

From yesterday's Richmond Times Dispatch for anyone concerned that no one outside of the conservative movement and Virginia knows George Allen.....
"Allen has gotten mention in news reports beyond Iowa, New Hampshire, and Virginia recently. He has been speaking out not only against judicial filibusters but also in support of John R. Bolton, Bush's nominee for ambassador to the United Nations, and on other matters.
"Between May 22 and mid-Friday (5/27), there were 112 individual articles that mentioned Allen; 35 on Wednesday alone; and Associated Press articles mentioning him were picked up by 340 newspapers Wednesday, Thursday and Friday."
Sounds like good national coverage to me.
