Scream 2: The Sequel
Newsweek ^ | 06/12/05 | Howard Fineman

une 20 issue - By the glamour-challenged standards of Washington, it was a big-box-office move. On short notice last Saturday, C-Span decided to cover—live—a normally snooze-inducing meeting of the Democratic National Committee. The big draw was the Beltway answer to Russell Crowe: DNC Chairman Howard Dean, whose phone-throwing attacks on Republicans have made him a star again. Earlier in the week at an "ethnic press round table" in San Francisco, Dean had branded the Republican Party "pretty much a white, Christian party"—as if that were some kind of a crime.

Wise guys of both camps viewed the statement as a blunder, because, well, most Americans are white Christians. But at the rostrum of a downtown capital hotel, Dean defiantly declared that his characteristic feistiness had been good marketing for the party, drawing $100,000 in unsolicited donations from the Web in one day. "We are not going to lie down in front of the Republican machine anymore!" Dr. Dean shouted.

Howard Fineman dislikes Dean...a lot. If you didn't see his smirking when Dean imploded in Iowa, you missed a great show.

That's okay, Howie; a moving target is more fun to run over.

The media never uses the term "hate speech" when referring to Deans vitriole. Imagine Mehlman saying the same of Dems?

Here's what I've found so far:

The beginning:
  Dean's latest: GOP 'white Christian party': 'They all behave the same. They all look the same' -- Much of the base of the Democratic party is always looking for a fighter to fight for them .. to take from those that have and give to those that do not... to stop mincing words and to tell it like they see it. Dean is doing exactly what they want.

Reverse chronological order:

Howard Dean renews attacks on Republicans -- I figured Dean was pretending to be a nutcase to make Hillary look sane-  But recently Hillary has said some of the same stupid types of crap that Dean has... I'm perplexed. This kind of slug mouth hate speech even makes James Carville look tame.
  Howard Dean renews attacks on GOP, defends fundraising -- Dean might be a crazy-@ss, but beware. It makes Hillary look all the more moderate. It's been done before - it's a tactic.

  Dean Urges Appeal to Moral Values - (oh, goodness gracious, not again! what hypocrisy!) -- "People want us to fight, and we are here to fight,"

 Dean will be at the head of the DNC for a while. He is there to make Hillary, Kerry, Kennedy, and the other liberal wackos seem moderate and sane.

Don't be so sure that Dean doesn't reflect the passion and deep feelings of the Democratic party. The liberals I talk to are not only not upset by him, but are thrilled with him. While some may consider him a bit out there, they really believe this stuff.

But he's violating the First Commandment of the left. Thou shalt not reveal Thy true nature to Thine public.

Democrats vs. Christians? -- Thus, according to Dean Democrats:

  1. The GOP has the agenda of Christian conservatives;
  2. Christian conservatives are our homegrown Taliban – violence-prone fundamentalists who are identical to the Saudis and other Islamic militants;
  3. And – oh, yes – Christian conservatives and their Republican lackeys seek to establish a state-sponsored religion which will, presumably, reprise the Salem witch trials and Spanish Inquisition.

And Democrats still can’t figure out why most religious people view them with emotions ranging from distrust to revulsion.

  Dean's Appearance Has Media in a Sweat (Do you hate white Christians?!?) -- Dean, Reid and Pelosi are America's modern Three Stooges.

 HILL AIDE BEANS DEAN (desperately needs Christian voters) -- Your post got me searching for proof that "everything old is new again". I remembered how Saint Hillary was portrayed in the early 90s. I found the perfect compliment to your thread:

What Howard Dean REALLY Said. (and why it's more scary than funny) -- One final thought on this.
Replace "Howard Dean" with George Bush.
Replace "Republicans" with "Democrats"
Replace "Christians" with "black people".
 Rush Limbaugh: Dean Articulates What Democrats Really Think and He's Not Going Away Anytime Soon -- I heard Rush's liberal caller confirm that Dean articulates exactly what Democrats feel, but what most "moderates" are afraid to articulate.

I think most of us have missed the point of Howard Dean. Hillary could have installed anyone they wanted. They obviously let Dean have it. Why? Because Dean is out there soaking up all of the money from the rabid nutjobs, the activists, the college kids. He can raise money from these people because they are like minded and like to hear Republicans called racist, evil, christians, with limos of cash stolen from the poor.

Once Dean has cleaned them out, Hillary and team will quietly get him to step down and they'll take over - moving the party to the center and collecting all of the Fat Cat donations. Bottom line, he's there to bleed as much cash as possile from the poor and hate-filled lefties.
