NFL Network to air 55 games in 25 days
NEW YORK (June 20, 2005) -- NFL Network will televise 55 games during the NFL's four-week preseason -- all but the 11 televised nationally by the NFL's four network partners (ABC, CBS, ESPN and FOX).
NFL Network will use the television feeds of local broadcasters and make use of both sets of announcers. For example, if Oakland is playing at San Francisco, NFL Network will use the announcers from the 49ers (home team) for the first half, and then switch to the Raiders' (away team) crew for the second half.
In addition to 55 preseason games, NFL Network will present NFL Total Access: No Huddle, a live look-in show that whips around to NFL preseason games in progress. Seven No Huddle shows will air during the preseason featuring action from four to nine games taking place simultaneously.
Of the 55 games NFL Network will carry nationally during the preseason, six will air live. NFL Network's live games each carry an interesting storyline.

My wife will start hatin' me a little earlier this year!!!!
For the 2 Bengals fans out there, The ugly striped team signed former Chicago Bears/Ohio St QB Craig Krenzel.
Make that three
I'm going to have to get Digital Cable
Go BROWNS!
VERY good news that they will be showing me the Charger preseason games in Chicago!!! I hated having to pay the normal ticket price for pre-season games when I was a season ticket holder, but having them on my widescreen ROCKS.
chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers chargers!!!
August 13 seems so far away right now...
Preseason football...wake me when it's over.
It's good for one quarter.
I'm one of those Bengal fans, and you can call us ugly or whatever you want to call us, but If you want to call us during super bowl week, you'll have to call the team hotel. And you probably won't reach the team because they'll be getting ready to beat up on some NFC wussies!
Ahhhh, I love that optimism you feel before the season starts! :)
Are you ready for some football??????
Counting down the days. Because of my son and being a single mom he made me a football junkie. If he's not around I watch the games myself.
Three words - GO PACK GO!
Only when averaged. The first 2 are only good for the first 2-3 series, while the last one is usually good for the first half.
Every year I can't wait for the first pre season game and then after the first quarter of the first game I can't wait for the regular season to start.
MMMmmmm....preseason football.
It's hard to believe that teams used to play six pre season games.
I'd like it if they cut them down to two pre season games but it doesn't seem like it's going to change anytime soon.
dang. Wish I had it. THen again, I would get no work done. Lucky.
