Anyone who is bored doesn't have much imagination for entertaining themselves! Of all the interesting books available I'd imagine there are some you haven't read.
Time is never wasted on TV trivia!! And we're talking some of the finest youthful heart-throbs of the small screen. Any votes for Carol Post on "Mr. Ed?"
ohhh i take that back. Lord of the rings is obviously a war movie and i loved it so I suppose I have watched a war movie.
when i think of war movies i think of grumpy men sitting around watching world war II stuff. That kind of thing does not cut it with me as far as entertainment.

"Eight" was the one with Dick Van Patten, and Betty Buckley was the mom before she became a big star on Broadway and left the show.
Sure, they were brothers, I have 4 brothers, and they shared. It amazes me though, to watch the old I Love Lucy or Dick Van Dyke shows and see two single beds the couple used in their own room. And they had kids. OK, let's do it in a single bed. LOL!

Concur, Indy. Either or both of them works for me. My first TV crush as a kid was Shelley Fabares on "The Donna Reed Show." I was still too innocent at that point for the likes of Mrs. Peel, but it didn't take long.
"I always used to get "Eight is Enough" and "Family" confused. That mother on "Family" used to give me the creeps (reminded me of a nun I knew), but I thought Bunny (Kristi McNichol) was hot. Too bad she turned out to be a Dyke. :-("

Shoot, it's a holiday weekend, we have earned the right to discuss Sam and Jeannie, Marlo and Mary. I'm sure we'll find out why the Professor never could get off the island, but could make a radio out of a coconut. :)

Yeah, I remember the uniform too. Marta Kristen on "Lost In Space" looked pretty good in that space outfit, too. Wilbur Post may have been even a worse husband than Darrin. He NEVER showed any affection to his wife, who always walked around in a tight dress and appeared to do absolutely nothing all day long.

I just ordered "The Shooter" by Jack Coughlin. Have you read Charles Henderson's "Marine Sniper" about the amazing exploits of the top Marine sharpshooter in Vietnam?
It's painful to listen to journalists and pundits talking about anything military. They have no combat experience, no sense of what it means.
Chris Matthews is a pathetic little blowhard and social-climber and it's amusing to see him practically blubbing with rage and resentment every time he mentions Scooter Libby. But Matthews is not so funny when he talks about the military.
Peace Corps boy really went nuts over the Swift Vets. He really despised them, claiming that they were against Kerry because they "hadn't done as well in life as Kerry." What a jerk.
But recently he asked a guest on Hardball, "Do you think they (U.S. troops) will have to shoot their way out of Iraq?" I didn't see who he asked, but Matthews repeated it again, almost dreamily, loving it, "troops have to shoot their way out of Iraq?"
They, those to whom this country has given more opportunity for financial success than their talents or character merit, long for another fall of Saigon; the image of the U.S. helicopter rising from the roof of our embassy with desperate human beings clinging to the struts is meat and drink to their miserable souls, and they are panting to cause it again.
Meanwhile, there is "Marine Sniper," by Charles Henderson and Jack Coughlin's "Shooter: the Autobiography of the Top-Ranked Marine Sniper." And there are our troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Macedonia, South Korea, Germany, Japan, and at a hundred other stations, standing vigil for us, the heirs of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, whose memory we revere today.

Please take time to send money to Free Republic. Without Free Republic, there would have been no Buckhead. Without Buckhead, Dan Rather and CBS would still have the power to insure that our troops will "have to shoot their way out of Iraq."
Hottest woman EVER on TV was Kari Wuhrer on "Remote Control."
I was about 8 or so I guess when That Girl started, I thought she was so cool for a girl, being a girl in an all boy family. And, In Color. What a great marketing campaign, all vying for that color market. I'll bet 99.9% of the tv's were still black and white, so, we're going to have to go out and get that new zenith color model.
