I've already forgotten the music, but I only saw it a couple of times a few years ago. Kubrick is excellent at creating memorable scenes. The ones I remember most from that movie are of Lady Lyndon signing her name for more money.

1. All Time Favorite Movie: Man on Fire

A most underrated and unappreciated movie. Not something I'd take my mom or granny to, but a very good film.

Can't argue with your favorite war movie, since it's my all time favorite.

We'll have to agree to disagree on Bonds.

As funny as Doug Addams was, I always seem to run out of steam around the third novel. I guess it just gets too weird for me.

You're reminding me that I need to go back and read Hardy again. I spent many pleasant hours years ago reading his Wessex novels.

Props to Mrs. Peel. Made for leather (or was it vice versa.) And John Steed was one cool guy, too.

3. All Time Favorite TV show: Coupling (BBC)

Thank God you said the BBC version. The NBC/Americanized version was so bad I was embarrassed to see such garbage posted on the airwaves.

BTW: is Kate Islett single? If Laura Ingraham should ever screw up and get married before I meet here, I could use a good-looking babe who's not married. ;^)

"In a little over 3 hours, you can watch Deep Impact."

Dateline July 4, 2025

Scientists have confirmed that the July 4, 2005 "Deep Impact" experiment knocked the Manhatten-sized comet out of its orbit just enough to cause it to impact the Earth on its next pass. A comet that size, and at that speed, is called a planet killer.

Originally, NASA stated that there would be no adverse effects from the impact. But then it was discovered that they were using metric numbers in their calculations instead of English units.

NASA apologizes for the error.

Now now, let's not intrude on the marital serenity of the Cleavers. Ever wonder why in that big house Wally and Beav shared a bedroom? That had to be at least a four bedroom home.

I also like Animal House, but while I can watch Groundhog Day over and over, I can only stand to watch AH maybe once in a blue moon. I also like the fact that Bill Murray finds love at the end.
