Wait for the firestorm when Dem voting totals drop by 20% at the next election due the the eradication of fraud.
They will scream "intimidation"
How long does it take to whip out your license and have someone look at it? It takes me longer to cash a check than to show ID while voting. Geez
This should be the law of the land. Too simple for the folks in Washington, I guess - it makes sense.
More proof that Terry and La Gubernadora are obstructionists. Blocking this proposal has one affect, and one affect only...it lets voter fraud continue.
Mexico requires a photo ID and a fingerprint, that tells me that our Dumbocrats are not even up to third world standards.
So, they'll obtain 3 or 4 sets of I.D. and vote their usual 3 or 4 times...
Try cashing a check, getting on an airplane or even buying liquor at Sam's Club without a photo ID. Why should we require anything less to vote?
As usual, it's a Democrat who opposes any measures to curb voter fraud. Gee, I wonder why that is....
Keep talking and chewing gum, Democrats. Republican's won't have to bother campaining next election, just let Democrats whine and bitch and bury themselves in the process.
Notice Democrats have no counter proposals to offer.
Provisional ballots are a prime source of fraud.
I hate to say this but maybe we do need a national voter registration registry so there is no cross border games.
Maybey something along the lines of the NCIC.
I remember the long list of valid types of id allow here in Colorado from the last election. I just went to attempt to register my daughter in HS by my new apartment and took my utility bill as proof of residence, as that is one of the valid ID's allowed to vote. Could not use it to register my daughter at school. I say the minimum voting ID should at least be as stringent as what is needed to register at a public school.
In other news, the price of a fake ID just went up.
I spell my name differently than my "legal birth name" on many documents.(same name. different spelling. I've been doing it so long.) My worry was having to change my signature to the legal spelling. I just spelled it the way I always do. No problem. It's funny. When I had no i.d. everyone was always asking for it. Now no one does.
