Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson has named his seventh communications director in less than five years after firing Deeda Seed, a longtime friend and his former chief of staff.
Deeda Seed Clifford Lyon, a former executive with a gift wholesale company and a member of the Human Rights Center of Utah governing board, replaces Seed, who Anderson fired Friday apparently for complaining about his management style and in part over how the controversy surrounding his involvement in last week's anti-war protest during President Bush's visit was being handled.
Like some of her predecessors, Seed complained that Anderson doesn't abide dissent or things being stated or represented differently than he thinks they should be. She also said that the mayor often berated her with vulgar language and belittled members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Hey, ya gets what ya votes for!
Bleahhhh...Rocky is a true lefty! Don't blame me, I'm the victim here.
I booed Rocky at the St. Patrick's Day Parade. He was less than 10 feet away and made eye contact. It was great. Now with all this anti-Bush stuff, I can't wait to boo him again next year. My wife and I are considering moving down from Logan to Salt Lake. Then I'll be able to vote this boob outta office!
Is Rocky a girly-man or actually light in the loafers? We know that he supports illegal immigration.
Although I'm in the area, I don't really follow the news on this boob. I believe that he has an older son from a past marriage, claims to have a girl friend now. Panders to the homo/leftist/downtrodden/anti-LDS crowd to get elected. Pays 'special' attention to the deviants, however.
Don't leave Logan unless you need better employment in SLC.
What's the matter poor Rocky????? If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen....you should never have been in government anyways, you haven't even graduated from Kindergarden yet!!!!!
That's exactly why we're considering the move. The jobs up here do not pay well because of the ominous presence of the University and the cheap labor that accompanies it.
I worked for USU, and had to leave to find decent pay (many years ago.) SLC can never be a pretty as the Cache valley. If you're open to other locales, I'd suggest Colorado. Just returned from 10 years in the Denver area, and am planning on returning as soon as possible. Good Luck!
We've thought about moving out of state, but neither of us want to be that faraway from family. But the thought of moving to SLC from Logan isn't a fun idea at all.
