But Bonds will never break the mark for homeruns as an outfielder named Babe.
Apparently, Ruth still holds the record for most home runs as a pitcher by players with 700 or more career home runs.

Babe still holds the record for most HR's WITHOUT help from STEROIDS>.............
Babe Ruth will always be known as the best home run hitter before Major League Baseball began juicing the ball.
Bonds broke Babe Ruth's record for homers as a designated hitter with his first homer as a DH.
Obscure one?
I thought it would be "Most home runs by a juiced-up grade-A jerk with a thin-talent-pool of pitchers"
Hammerin' Hank? No Way! He used old fashioned MUSCLE.....................
It's not the ball that gettin' juiced............
Willie Mays would have hit more home runs than Hank Aaron if he had played in Milwaukee and Atlanta. Babe Ruth would not have hit as many either, had he not played in Yankee Stadium with a very short and low right field fence.
On the other hand, the balls didn't float in water then, did they?
LOL.
Yes, the correct spelling for this ballplayer's name is
Barry Bonds*
not
Barry Bonds
They made Maris wear it for 40+ years for playing 161.
See post #12. I never saw a baseball float until recent years. Are you saying it is the same baseball that Ruth hit?
Everyone knows the balls are lighter and tighter and more lively, and it has been that way for a long time.
How come no one ever accuses pitchers of drug use? 100+mph fast balls and all.........
Didn't they change the "official" baseball composition a few years back?........
What about most home runs by a pitcher?
You're right. Nolan Ryan used pain medications...he even did a TV commercial for them!
Major League Baseball has been contaminated for years. The game is not the same since the introduction of the Designated Hitter, the juiced ball, and the juiced players. Baseball is no longer a game, plain and simple.
Why doesn't bonds just go away?
