That family photo is incredible! The parents are displaying courage in the face of terrorism, so that their children have the opportunity to cast their future ballots in freedom, not fear.

The MSM and the Left are ignoring this story because the Iraqi people are braver than the MSM & Leftists are in facing terrorism.

I believe it. I do think that free nations that have to vote themselves into combat are much less likely than dictatorships---but not all the time. My other caution, however, if you read the original post, was not only that democracies can give us Hitler-types, but more likely, Nehru, DeGaulle, Chirac, and Schroeder types, who are almost as dangerous in the long run.

Seriously, ITM has some great posts today of the vote and celebrations. MSM won't report it 'cause it MIGHT make the EEEEVEEEEEEEEL BUUUUUUUUUUSH look slightly better, but the voter turnout I extimate at 80+ percent, violence is WAY lower than expected and it was a damned GOOD DAY for Iraq AND humanity.
