TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police used tear gas to break up a rock-throwing crowd that had gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by the National Socialist Movement.
At least two dozen members of a Roanoke, Va.-based group that calls itself "America's Nazi Party" had gathered at Wilson Park just before noon and were to march under police protection.

Hey, you're locked into the mainstream interpretation, and your mind is not open to the proposition that this may not be the correct interpretation. For so long as you remain so, there's no point in discussing it.
So, you've adopted the liberal leftist notion that the Constition is a "living document" which can be twisted to mean anything a judge wants it to mean. Well, sorry, I'll stick by the words of the men who wrote the Constitution and Bill of Rights, thank you very much, and they most certaintly did not intend for their Constitution to be a blank check given to government to do whatever it feels like. The Constitution limits the powers of government; anyone who does not understand this fact is no friend of the Constitution, or of the American people, or of anyone who has any appreciation for limited, Constitutional government.

Yes, that was one of the incidents I was thinking of. People who think that this has something to do with "nazis" have not been paying attention. Follow the larger pattern: no nazis anywhere. Nazis just make a convenient diversion now because no one wants to be associated with them, so it's easy to pin blame on them, but the reality is that these kinds of riots have been happening without a nazi in sight. If the nazis had kept quiet, there probably would have been another riot anyway, if not this year then next year. All the rioters need is a good "excuse".

I think you gravely misunderstand my posts, they are not intended to give anyone a free pass especially the likes of neo-nazis. Rather, the thrust of my posts were meant to keep the 'focus' on who went outside our laws to protest their particular view.
To illustrate this, recently FR counter-protested Cindy Sheehan's protest against the war in Iraq, our troops, and our President, calling him nothing less than a liar and wanton killer. This protest angered many, it was thought to even endanger the lives of our troops and embolden the enemy. But what did FR and other groups do about it? What they did was legally and peaceably assemble to counter-protest. No harm came to anyone though I am sure feelings were high. But how did the Blacks in Toledo counter-protest, what did they do??
That in sum was the intentions of my posts, to keep my focus on who broke laws, who went up against the civil obedience of our society and waged war against innocents. Blacks must learn to carry out their grievances against those they disagree with just like the rest of Society without causing harm to persons or property and that is my main contention.

Ummm. Not exactly. A smaller male can almost always defeat a larger female. Weight alone is not an indicator. The norm for percentage of body fat for women is 20-30%. For men, it's 10-20%. Women are carrying around more fat than men, which does nothing for their strength or stamina.
Your examples of a 5'2" policeman vs. a 5'7" police woman is unrealistic. Nobody of such short stature should be a police officer. We cannot have policemen the size of 13 year old girls.

The more of these ballerinas we have in law enforcement, the more thugs will be tempted to take a swat at them.
Each week we read in the papers of a thug disarming a practically helpless lady cop. When will we stop this PC madness? Or like in this article, everyone is surprised that a lady cop got hurt. Duh! Don't put ladies in uniform, and they won't get hurt.
Just as girls do not belong on the football team with the boys, ladies do not belong on the beat. If they do, nobody should be surprised when they get beat or killed.

SeaBiscuit, I hope I do gravely misunderstand your posts. I think I am gravely misunderstood as well.
I think riots are easily dismissed or compartmentalized as blacks needing to learn to address grievances without causing harm to persons or property. I think riots are far more complex.
I think the Nazis are as much at fault for what happened to that neighborhood. I see your focus on the law. I'm trying to do that also, though not very well, perhaps. This situation, IMHO, was not a run-of-the-mill riot, an accidental fire if you will. This, IMHO, was a fire intentionally set or better, fanning- or throwing gas on- the flames of an already volitale fire.
I hope you don't think by any stretch of the imagination that my intent is to excuse the rioters' behavior.
As an aside, apples and oranges again IMHO best describe the comparison to the FR counter-protests to Sheehan in many respects and yet, in many respects, I find similarities. The most striking similarity is the real life and death effect on third parties...the neighborhood itself in Toledo and our troops in Iraq/Afghanistan.

No, I reject that entirely, but hold that it is the mainstream interpretation you espouse that is the twisted, liberal interpretation.

Please. There are not "Nazis from Roanoke". There is one uber-racist who lives there, a person named Bill White. Here is an article from the Roanoke Times:

Roanoke has a history of reasonably good race relations. It got through the integration period without the riots that plagued places like Greensboro, NC, due to the combined efforts of some prominent black and white businessmen, who worked behind the scenes to keep the peace.
It sickens me to see Roanoke tarred with such a negative brush because ONE disturbed individual has moved there ( he's really from Maryland), and has been spreading such a hateful message.

Actually there are at least "3" sides and 5 players/groups involved:
There were a (1)white neighbor and a (2)black neighbor who had an argument about a fence (not sure what or who's to blame).
Reportedly a (3) Toledo gang came to harass the white neighbor over the dispute (with a flyer/note left). Does that make them a "hate" group?
The white neighbor then reportedly posted his problems on the internet (don't know where or the type of site) where it came to the attention of (4) out of state neo-nazis. It is unclear what response the white neighbor got from local law enforcement.
Several (5)socialist groups (some even with the word socialist in their name) gathered to stage a "counterprotest". However, looking at One People's Project's site and Myspace group it is apparent that they are anarchist-socialists who identify themselves as "anticop" (as in "All cops are bastards") and consider Bush and FReepers also to be "facscists".
The socialists have claimed upwards of 200 people at the protest were their own. They estimated that only 12-25 nazis PLANNED to march (and didn't). The socialists still used the occasion to stage their OWN protest (and riot).
The press was mum yesterday on the involvement of the socialists in the protest (especially in the planning). The black gangs are being made to take the fall for all of the riot. I don't see it that way (they were provoked by antisemites who also happened to be "antinazi").
Hitler was a horrible man. So was Stalin. None of the people who rallied were good people (gang members, nazis aka national socialists, antinazi socialists, and useful idiots who could be manipulated into believe that these were grass roots organizations that mean well).
I will add that even the socialists (at least yesterday) were unwilling to blame the white neighbor for the presence of the neonazis. Without knowing just which forum he posted his greivance to, we cannot determine if that neighbor helped to invite all of this trouble to Toledo.
