I've never understood deer hunting with a shotgun. If they are tame enough to let you get that close you might as well use a spear or a club.

The guy hunting is doing much better than the person that wrote the story. My Remington 1100 says right on the box "shotgun"! I can not imagine this guys will to do things.

Congrats to him. Really nice to hear that he is able to get out and be that patient. I'm getting frustrated that I haven't seen a nice buck this season, and this guy waited 8 years! Amazing.
