Did anyone catch the interview by Jim Angle of the two wounded soldiers from Iraq? These people were amazing. I was so stirred by their comments of pride in our country, of wanting to go back, of knowing we are doing the right thing, of never doubting the mission, of support of the Iraqi people....if you can catch the rerun at 11, please do. It was emotional, patriotic and remarkable!
Between this interview and the remarks of Farris Hassan, Florida student, who swore to kiss the ground of America when he returns because he realizes how sweet this country is, today was an emotional and meaningful day of interviews, for a change. I am uplifted.
I saw that interview, too. Those two are great Americans and we are lucky that people like that are out there keeping us safe.
I just kept shaking my head and saying "you are so wonderful, you are just so wonderful." Uplifted...you bet.
I saw that interview and am so proud of the troops serving our country.
We are SO FORTUNATE to have people like this in our military. This brief segment shows how stupid and useless our whining politicians are, and how steadfast and honorable our military.
I am SO glad you started this thread..
I was on another thread, just going bonkers over this interview...those two soldiers were AWESOME...
I just was so glad that Jim asked them some "hard" questions, also---but, they answered in ways that made me "tear" up...they are so brave!
Did you guys see this on Brit's show?
OOPSy...I should know better than to post without reading the other posts..
Sorry, Bah....but I included you on my *ping*.
Yes. It was one of the best things I've seen. Pleasantly, it was followed by Charles Krauthammer talking about the NSA leak. He said this is serious (unlike Plame), and some people are going to jail.
Off topic...but from the roundtable...
Have I said lately that Jeff Birnbaum is a freakin' lib idiot???
It was a very touching interview. Two of America's finest. How proud I am of them and those they represent.
Darn computer screen is still blurry.
LOL. I don't know, but it bears repeating.
That was a great interview by Jim Angle. Both soldiers were fantastic examples of our military, even though they had lost limbs and suffered tremendously, they had nothing but good to say about our country and the people of Iraq.
MAY GOD BLESS THEM
but i was SO moved by this, their courage and cheerfulness....juanita was definitely more articulate than carl, but they were both so cheerful and such patriots that when jim asked them, as you say, the "hard questions," you just had to digest their comments as the truth. all the blabbering of the chattering classes has so little value to it, much less relevance or validation.
but these two were awesome....incredible...
TX, don't worry, I've done it before to BB. She doesn't mind.
Sorry I missed it, just getting caught up, on FR, after these four, 12 hour shifts.
My impression is that Ditzy Pelosi, Cut and Run Johnny Murtha and their wacky band of DemocRATS really HATE these two brave soldiers right about now. Carl and Juanita are proud Americans and they make me proud to also be an American.
You mean the one where they said that serving in Iraq and the work they did there was one of their proudest moments of their career ??
Yep .. I saw it .. GOD BLESS OUR MILITARY .. THEY ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST!!!
When did he go from Fortune to the WaPo? OMG he was stuttering worse than normal tonight. I cannot stand the guy.
I saw the interview too. It gave me goosebumps.
I thought they sold themselves very well...and even the reluctance by the guy, was very honest...and I just was cheering them!
