Now Johnson and her 34-year-old partner, Jason Pancoast, who have been together for 14 years, support themselves and their three children, 6-year-old Seth, 3-year-old Adrianne and 3-month-old Synclair, by panhandling...

A couple of years ago where I live they did a story on panhandlers and some of them said they could make $300 to $400 per day. Whether or not that's true, I don't know. I refuse to give money to panhandlers. I will give to charities that assist them but won't just hand them money. At least make them listen to a sermon first!

They'd sure better be! They're spending about 30% more on housing than me, and they aren't even employed!
Perhaps that would be one way to get them off the streets--report them to the IRS.

I stopped giving money to panhandlers when I handed out a fiver one day, and realized five minutes later that the panhandler was wearing a more expensive coat than I was.

They are four per block here in Seattle and I know where they all live. They don't get a penny from me.

During his '88 campaign,Mike Dukakis would have called this "good jobs at good wages".

I tell folks that if they feel bad about seeing the"homeless" -- then stop giving them money.
They'll stop coming around if there are no handouts.
