Arnie declared 'persona non grata'

THE assembly for the Mexican state of Baja California has declared movie star California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger "persona non grata" over his stance towards Mexican immigrants working in the US.

"The Terminator has forgotten that he too arrived in the United States as an immigrant and he now backs racist policies against immigrant workers," deputy Arturo Pena Valle said after the vote, referring to Mr Schwarzenegger's most famous screen role.

The regional assembly also denounced proposals in the US Congress to construct a fortified wall on the US-Mexico border to stem the flow of illegal immigrants.

Mr Schwarzenegger has opposed proposed legislation in California that would allow undocumented workers to obtain temporary driver's licenses.

The northeastern Mexican state lies along California's southern border.

Meanwhile, while the Assembly spins it wheels on matters like this of zero importance, Baja North has become the most dangerous state in Mexico. The murder count in Tijuana exceeded 400 last year, putting the city in the same league as LA, Chicago, and NYC, but with only 1.5 million population.

they must not share the enthusiasm of Baja Governor Eugenio Elourduy, who, when he first met with the Governator, asked him for his autograph

The bottom line is that the Mexicans believe that they are entitled to immigrate to the US because they still consider California a part of Mexico.

The irony is that if California were still Mexico the Hispanic population of the state would probably be a lot lower than what it is with California under US rule. You really want to get the illegals out? - turn the state back over to the Mexican government.

He doesn't go to Baja anyway. He vacations at the Four Seasons Wailea. Saved an inept swimmer's life last year I think, and no, it wasn't Teddy.

Baja is waaay over-priced.
