Oh, and guess who's building it? It's not just China-styled, it's China-constructed.

I'm not sure what self-respecting aristocrat would want to live close to Mugabe.

I know this is changing the subject, but whatever happened to the plans to convert Justice Souter's estate into a hotel?

If anybody on the planet falls into the "he needed killin'" category, this is the one.

A vist by a couple of JDAMs could improve the neighborhood significantly if Mugabe was home at the time.

Mugabe will be dead in a few years, with a very private
place in hell. I almost feel sorry for the fool (not).

"We will never be able to get out now,"

Strange statement. What was she waiting for? Why didn't she leave years ago?

I think we heard the same statement in New Orleans just a few months ago.

"Mugabe's house has been under construction for years and this irrational, bankrupt regime only notifies residents now."

. . .I guess they expected better from this low, life form. . .who typifies what being a good totalitarian is all about. . .

That said. . .we are only a few feet away with our own 'Eminent Domain'. . .which I surely hope finds a way to revisit a more competent Surpreme Court.

I truly do feel sorry for all those suffering in Zimbabwe. . .and it seems they can expect no help from us or the rest of the civilized Europeans. . .

Using what appears to be a car parked in the front left of the house, rough estimating that that house is nowhere near 4 acres in sq footage. 4 acres is approx 180,000 sq ft. Not even close.

Anybody who actually bought into a new "luxury" community just to be close to that madman, or because they thought his presence would somehow make them safe, doesn't get any sympathy from me. This sounds exactly what I would expect to happen. Nero did the same thing to people living near his villa in Rome. All dictators need their living space.

Among them are older couples hoping to sell their homes and retire closer to children who left Zimbabwe during the upheavals of the past six years.

"We will never be able to get out now," said an 84-year-old woman.

====================

1) Given the conditions of that country, who on earth did these seniors expect to sell their homes to, and at a price that would let them to get out of the country?

2)Why haven't the kids of these folks gotten them out of there already? Zim has been in free-fall for quite some time. Why aren't the kids telling the folks, "Don't even think about selling the house. You're not going to get anything for. Pack a couple of suitcases. I'm sending you a plane ticket. You're coming here. Now!"
