He talks the talk - a little concerned about his family values and his multi marriages but that could be the French thing.

Hoping someone who has their eyes on France comes to power. The current cloud dwellers are a disgrace.

That does not solve Villepin's big problem--he is Chirac's designated heir at a time when an heir to Chirac is the last thing the French people want. Unfortunately for Sarkozy, the second-to-last thing the French people want is a real reformer.

Nails it. In the absence of Alain Madelein (too pro-American) I'll take Sarkozy.

Sarkozy rocks. I wish we had a few Republicans like him in the Senate!

"He opposed Turkish entry into the European Union. He takes terrorism more seriously than Chirac does: He thinks the recent spate of books in France that deal with barbarism is due to people's worries about terrorism, "because terrorism is nothing but barbarism."

Finally....someone who gets it!!! The 21st century Hammer!!!

Impressive. Can't wait to see him elected, a realist, an outspoken man who stands on what he believes and doesn't need his croissants heated.

Btw, aside from being informative, wasn't that article brilliantly written? Such wordsmiths make one realize what cr*p we are daily forced to wade through - ENEMEDIA journalism.
Christopher Caldwell, nice to meet you.

Thanks for posting, DS.

Sarkozy may be the best possible outcome in the French elections, both from the standpoint of the US and that of France.

French people, to put it mildly, are worried about Islam.

That's the amount of time that radical, nominally French imams have before Nicholas Sarkozy takes over and deports their seditious asses.

"S'il passe, je me casse!" (If he gets in, I'm out of here!)."

I hope he (Sarkozy) gets in, so this undesirable element can get out.

Methinks Christopher Caldwell may have learned his English in Hartford, Hereford and Hampshire...what's brown, what lies about in green pastures and make a noise when you step on them...they stick to the soles of your shoes and have a very offensive odour?

The ENEMEDIA.

"He talks the talk - a little concerned about his family values and his multi marriages but that could be the French thing."

We're facing here something that is much more important than family life and multi marriages. It's a matter of survival or extinction by Christianity and its people.

Muslism are anti-Christians. Muslims must, therefore, be deported to their repective countries or annihilated. There is no two ways about it. It's us or it's them.

On we go, Christian armies!

Moslems are not just anti-Christian. Moslems have been killing Jews, Christians, Buddhists, and of course other Moslems for 14 centuries. But I agree with the rest of what you said. Except I don't support deporting 'em.

You neglected to mention Hindus.

Hindu Kush=Killer of Hindus.

An entire mountain range named after the victims of Muslim brutality, murder, and forced servitude.

The Muslims have massacred more Hindus than Jews who perished in the Holocaust, as astounding as it might be to believe.

Me and my descendents would expire before being able to enumerate each and every person, of every faith and none, who's been exterminated as a result of Muslim aggression.
