"But Senator," the veteran newsman protested, "ah - I mean - didn't - didn't - shouldn't [the hunting accident] have been made public but for no other reason than the administration and the vice president's own good? I mean, one can understand that he clearly was not thinking straight. Who would, after thinking they'd killed their best friend?" What an absolute fool Schieffer is, Cheney knew Whittington was fine, his medical staff was treating him within seconds. It was an ACCIDENT. Why doesn't Schieffer call Ted Kennedy in an ask him these same questions?

That Schieffer quote is a perfect example of what the ancient MSM has been doing since Watergate. It's time to burn'em out of their crystal palaces... slash the tires on their limo's and make'm eat spam!

I always thought Schieffer was slightly to the left of Dan
Rather. Not much. There's very little room there.

The longer the tone-deaf fools of TOM ( the Tired Old Media ) beat this dead-horse issue, the happier I will be.
Out here in flyover country, it's no big deal.

I see according to the Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread, he didn't have Alan Simpson on his show.
Lucky for him, otherwise Alan Simpson might have ripped Schieffer to shreds.
