Mr. Murtha, speaking yesterday at a Post-Gazette editorial board meeting, was asked if he favored a cease-fire in the campaign north of Israel's border.
"I think so," he said. "I think it would be very difficult to justify continuing on."
Referring to the Bush administration's position, he said: "You know, they say, 'Well, we want a long-term cease-fire.' It seems to me you start with a cease-fire, and then you try to work out the details long term. If you don't, and you continue to have heavy-handed military action -- and I support heavy-handed military action because it saves your own troops -- but it creates enemies, and that's the problem we have."

Sounds like Kerry, he's for heavy handed military action but against it. Methinks the man has gone around the bend. Time to retire.
In other words, if you are in a war the worst thing you can do is keep fighting, because you might make an enemy. Exactly the reason France justified not fighting in 1939-40 after declaring war on Germany two days after Poland was invaded -- the Sitzkrieg.
We carried WWII to a finish and eliminated the regimes of Germany and Japan (although the latter kept the Emporor, the Government was abolished). Are Germany and Japan enemies of ours?

He is worse than dangerous. He is a sick leftist who hates America and everything it stands for, like many of his rotten commie ilk. He continues to campaign on an "everything against America" platform, especially anything military, U.S. or otherwise.
He is also mentally distrubed -- anyone who would say what he has said, in public, is one sick puppy and needs psychological attention. Maybe he and Dean could get a package deal from a local mental hospital...
How about Hugh Hewitt instead?
