Randy Pullen, chairman of Protect Our City, said he dropped off petitions with 1,246 signatures at the Phoenix City Clerk's Office on Friday.

The group initially submitted 21,797 signatures, but only 14,160 of those were valid. The requirement is 14,844 to qualify for the ballot.

Protect Our City got a second shot at making up the difference because laws allow proponents an extra 10 days to do so.

I sent this to some friends in Arizona who will be happy to sign it if they haven't already done so. They hate what illegals are doing to their beautiful desert.

As a citizen of invaded Mexifornia, I can agree with that. They bring their third world culture with them, and our own government is forcing us to accept it and to pay for it.

If that's "compassionate conservatism", America is sick of it.

HOUSTON, TEXAS

Help end Houston’s Illegal Immigration “Sanctuary” policy

Houston Charter Petition to Eliminate the City’s Don’t Ask “Sanctuary Policy” For Illegal Aliens

We have just been informed that the date for handing in all the verified petition signatures to rescind Houston's sanctuary policy has been arbitrarily moved up to this coming Friday, August 11, 2006.

Houston’s “Sanctuary” policy prohibits police officers from asking lawbreakers about their immigration status. The result is illegal immigrants, and even terrorists, can be released back onto our streets.

This issue will be placed on the ballot if 20,000 signatures of registered Houston voters are gathered. The people can then vote to reverse this dangerous policy.

HOUSTON, TEXAS REGISTERED VOTERS SIGN THE PETITION AT:

George W. Bush and his open borders buddies Ted Kennedy, John McCain, Arlen Specter, et al, should be right there picking up that filthy trash too.

When will this president have the courage to demand that Vicente Fox reimburse American taxpayers for the billions of dollars that these third worlders cost us? "Cheap labor" has turned out to be very high-priced.
