Japan and Germany would have quickly agreed to a cease fire with the allies in January of 1945 if it was offered. If that's true then Olmert is responsible for putting his troops in a defensive position knowing they would more than likely be attacked. This should have been a full scale war with the intentions of completely destroying Hezballoh from the beginning. If true it's a good example of how fighting a politically correct war gets troops killed.
