I guess if Freddy was into little boys, goats, or any other farm animal the beach party could proceed.

"Our main idea is to promote tourism and Freddie Mercury was from Zanzibar. It's part of our history," Mohammed said. "We are all Muslims and it's not our intention to offend any religion."
Evidently, there's a rule there that you have to be Muslim...?

It would be easier to post a list of does not offend muslims.

My kids and I love Queen music. He really was a genious in that respect. We have a game. Best Gay Singer, he wins.
At the end of his life it was his ex-wife that cared for him and inherited his estate. I think it was an ending full
of regrets, but music fans know that he was a musically
both performer and writer.

Freddy wasn't Muslim, his family were Zorastorans of Farsi origin who had lived in Zanzibar for years.

Hi All- Queen was definitely a supergroup of the 1970's. Chord changes, fantastic vocals, stunning guitar...who could ask for anything more. Anything that offends an annoying Muslim is a good thing to me.

I have become a real fan of Queen's music lately (thanks to XM radio).
My understanding was not that Freddie was so much "gay", but that he was EVERYTHING (omnisexual). (Of course, it wasn't schtupping the teenyboppers that killed him.)

"That's why he was branded a Queen,"
This falls into the same category as "by the way, which one's Pink?"

I can't wait for a few gay beheadings by Muslims to wake up some (but by not means all) liberals about who they are cheering for.

Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991, violated Islam with his flamboyant lifestyle, said Azan Khalid of Zanzibar's Association for Islamic Mobilization and Propagation.
I could be wrong, but I don't think Mercury professed to be Muslim.
"That's why he was branded a Queen," Khalid said, adding that anything linking Mercury with Zanzibar's Muslim population would be offensive.
Khalid, honey, sweetheart, no one called Freddie "a Queen." He and his friends named their band Queen. No one "branded" anyone anything. Wordplay only works if it's clever.

I used to love Queen - one of the best rock groups of the 70's, and who practically ruled the airwaves at the time.
Regardless of Freddie's sexual shortcomings, he was at the top of his form when he did his music. God bless him.
Oh yeah - and the muslims who are upset by this can go suck sand for all I care.

I don't get it . . . this organization is offended by Mr. Mercury's flamboyant lifestyle? He sang Western music . . . isn't that enough to call for a beheading?
