Barf... There is a new Antiwar group at UW Madison!

Posted on 09/09/2006 12:06:59 AM PDT by Thunder90

A new group, called "Middle East Solidarity" (AKA support the terrorists and worship Saint Pancake, Rachel Corrie), was created by the ultra left on my campus. The reason for formation of this group is that Stop the War had it's Student Org status revoked due to it's vandalism to the ROTC building (cutting the rope to the US flag) and constant harassment of recuiters at events. Also, I suspect a link to the International Solidarity movement, thus the Saint Pancake reference earlier.

There is one catch however. The problem with the new group is that it is a contiuation of the old Stop the War movement (Minus the International Socialists, who formed a larger ISO group and who will work with "Middle East Solidarity"

Frankly, it would be bigger news if there were a PRO-war group in Madison.

I don't honestly know qualifies a person to be guilty of sedition, but some of these groups are so subversive that they are specifically intent on bringing our nation down.

You have to be real careful about bringing such charges. If they are true, perhaps they should be brought. What concerns me is when the democrats do regain power, they would not use care, and would take action of anyone who didn't kiss their feet.

Our side would go after those who wish to do our nation harm. The left would go after anyone who didn't want to see this nation destroyed.

This is a real dilema. We are headed for the ash heap of history if we can't begin to appreciate and defend this nation as a whole. The left is seriously damaging our nation. What they are doing is dangerous.

I do not know a fix for this. I only know that it is a serious threat.

"I do not know a fix for this..."

The fix lies within the 2nd Amendment which is why the left has tried so hard to nullify it.

Don't expect governmental processes to fix the problem since the problem is well entrenched in the government.

While I pretty much agree on the first part, I would have to say the second part will prevent the first part from being implemented.

"I don't honestly know qualifies a person to be guilty of sedition, but some of these groups are so subversive that they are specifically intent on bringing our nation down."

When todays college student protestors reach middle age in the real world many of them will go out of their way to avoid mentioning their protest years because of shame and embarressment regarding their youthful stupidity. As a former liberal I can personally attest to that. And to quote Phil Ochs, well known 60's protesting folk singer:

Sure, once I was young and impulsive
I wore every concievable pin
Even went to Socialist meetings
Learned all the old union hymns
But now I am older and wiser
And that's why I'm turning you in
So love me, love me, love me....I'm a Liberal

Its a new name for anti-semitism - or marxism (who were all anti-semitics too). Go to Europe and these nutbags would be the normal instead of the exception. Paris is routinely shut down by these wackos protesting something.

This is very good news. Because they are new, they will HAVE to pull shiite that others maybe haven't thought of.
That way they will further remind people that the rat MUST NEVER BE ALLOWED to get his paws on the wheel again.
That this is happening in Wisconsin is even better because it is a state we are making progress in and are just about ready to flip.

Got a link to Wisconsin being ready to flip?

I live here and my area has gone from majority GOP to majority donk over the past 6-8 years. Some is vote fraud, mainly students. Some is just the relentless DBM spin, some is the influx and maturing of the various leftie businesses that depend mightily on government grants and associated good-old-boy deals with Doyle and the agencies still run by the left. Most is perhaps reflexive support for socialism, especially due to health insurance costs. Young people who were the best volunteers for W in 2004 are now recanting after two more years of university inculcation.

In my district, Kind has a seat for life and so do Finegold and Kohl. Bush is disparaged constantly. I am hearing old, recycled anti-war complaints from those who are social conservatives but say they fear their sons going to Iraq or they fear the returning soldiers having been turned into mindless killers. When others refute those fears, they just compress their lips and go silent, but they haven't changed their minds.

I am 90 miles from Madison and 150 miles from Milwaukee. We have way too many wealthy socialists getting involved in politics at the local level. Fewer farmers and more low wage manufacturing and retail. More commuters impacted by the cost of gas and the cost of car repairs.

I will bet Wisconsin goes donk for the most part, although perhaps Green will win the gubernatorial election. I could use some good Wisconsin news.

Kinda of like if a Paris waiter was not rude to an American.

Their first two games have been over pretty weak teams; doubt they'll contend for much this year.

They went down hill after they went to the Rose Bowl and then the coach got into a little problem with a cheerleader and quietly exited, so I understand.

I'm looking forward to the game tonight between Texas and Ohio; one grand-daughter is at Texas and another grand-son (cousin) is at Ohio...she is excited and he won't answer his phone.

I am heartsick about the beating Paterno took today from the Irish. I hate NotreDame.
