"Webb referred to his novel, "Fields of Fire," which aides said includes passages using the n-word as part of character dialogue. But he added: "I have never issued a racial or ethnic slur."
Asked for clarification of his original answer, spokeswoman Jessica Smith quoted Webb as saying, "I have never used that word in my general vocabulary or in any derogatory way."
She declined to say whether he had ever used the word apart from when he wrote his book."
This guy sounds like he graduated from the Clinton School of Linguistic Contortion.

Sabato's political credibility was forever damaged with his miserable "unbiased" calls prior to the 2004 that gave the election (and everything else) to Democrats. This craven professor is in actuality a Democrat sock-puppet.

I wonder about Dick Morris's comments last night that you HAD to give credibility to Sabato and Shelton because they were a
professor and a
doctor. Coupled with Mrs. Shelton's comment to Mollie Henninburg of Fox that "
they don't want me to talk to you" I am beginning to smell Rat politicos conspiring behind the scenes, which of course is not a surprise. Morris is still a democrat...he just simly hates Hillary. Sabato is an obvious democrat, and from what I have found out about the good doctor it seems likely to me that he is involved with the moonbats.
We need to see who the campaign people are for Webb, and what their connections are. I bet we wil find some interesting information.

Webb referred to his novel, "Fields of Fire," which aides said includes passages using the n-word as part of character dialogue. But he added: "I have never issued a racial or ethnic slur." Sounds rather similar to the situation that destroyed Marc Furman's credibility/testimony in the O.J. trial.

I am truly ashamed of Larry Sabato. I had thought that at least, he was an "honest broker" but apparently he is not and must have some grudge against Allen.
Why would he desire to lay his reputation on the line to lie for a liberal?

Well at least we know he will not be a Fox News employee anymore. It looks like we can see Sabato on MSNBC real soon.

Even though my parents were born in Mississippi, and raised their family in Louisiana, we just never used that word.
That word was used by "poor white trash," and rural whites from earlier generations. The rest of us said "negro", pronounced "Nee-grow", until the late 1960's, when we switched to "African American," and now "black."
George Allen is my age, and I can't imagine people behaving less politely at UVA than LSU.

Great keywords!
Thank heaven for the Internet and conservative media, who have been all over this outrageous smear from the moment it hit. Democrats are gonna have a lot of 'splainin' to do when this is over, and there is plenty of time for us to make sure this boomerangs on them, bigtime. Larry Sabato's career should be over after this, for one thing. And the MSM must be called to account for rushing these unsubstantiated allegations into print based on a sleazy report by a sleazy liberal website.
