Ping!
hey , jimmy, what ya eatin?
hey mike, its my bark bar. its pine and beech flavored.
what you got?
all i got is some dandelion crackers and sand paste spread.
mmmmmmm
we love clif bars :D
Jebus. How soon before this goes nationwide and we're told to check the label to make sure the food is compliant?
On the other hand, with steady absorption rather than spiking blood sugar, it sounds like it might be a good snack for diabetics. : )
Kids, we wanted you to have tasty snacks and drinks in school. But the Democrats outvoted us and made the school serve you that yucky stuff that tastes like rabbit turds and hippie crap.
Sorry.
The Conservatives
Put a condom on it and it tastes just like a banana.
But wait a minute...wasn't it just a few short years ago that a bunch of weeping ACTRESSES were testifing on Capitol Hill that good old wholesome, healthy APPLES were poisoning our children? You'll NEVER win with these morons, so just stockpile your favorite snacks and eat them in your basement in complete darkness at 2am. Cripes. And you know it WILL come down to that, eventually. Heck, they've driven the Smokers underground, what makes us think 'The Foodies' aren't as powerful as the 'Smoke Gnaztzies?'
NANNY STATE PING!!!!!!!!
I'm with Diana - I have no idea where to being with this........
I've never even heard of the things.
Thanks for the ping! I am SOOOOOOOO thankful my kid is grown. The government is moving in too fast to tell parents how to raise their kids. Scares the hell out of me!
You're very welcome.
Tell me about it - remember, my kid is only 8.....I've got a LOOOOOOOOOONG way to go.
Oh I know it! I sure hope you aren't in for a long haul with the nanny government the way it has become! ugh!
I hate 'granola bars' of all stripes; they're nutritionally lacking and way too expensive for what you get. Just eat the wrapper if you need the fiber or have a bowl of oatmeal, LOL! Pop a vitamin pill if you're not able to eat a balanced diet that day for whatever reason.
Let's talk about homemade GORP! Now THAT'S worth eating. Nuts, dried fruits, a little unsweetened flake coconut and M&Ms. Nature's Most Perfect Snack, IMHO. I consider M&Ms part of MY balanced diet, LOL!
I will eat granola on yogurt once in a great while for crunch, but mainly it makes me want to gag because I associate it with being 'Hippy Food,' eventhough I am pretty much a 'Crunchy Conservative' myself. :)
Everybody, please recognize this for the golden opportunity that it is to teach children that there are people who think the government should control everything they do, including what they eat.
They are called Democrats.
In which case "the private sector" becomes a de-facto extension of the state, helping The Man shove his fascist program down our throats. Don't listen to anybody who tells you, "well, it's only for kids in schools", as this is merely the beginning of their plan to run every little detail of everybody's life.
well you know me, m'dear - I don't sit down without a fight :)
Diana, you're right on the money. There's always someone eager to tell you how to live in the smallest detail. (Of course, it's almost always a matter of "Do like I say, not like I do.)
That's the spirit!
Heh. Check out this tid-bit, from the new antis:
(snip)
"Many of our citys restaurants and vendors serve foods loaded with
artificial trans fat, the cause of over 30,000 premature coronary heart
disease deaths per year in the US."
http://www.transfatfreenyc.org/
Oh oh. Look! Trans fats sem to be the new leading killer. Killer crisco! Oh, oh, my the horror, the hoooorrrrorrrr!
They're all off their damn rockers.
The stakes are upped, and no one's 'vice' will be spared.
I cannot even begin to type enough profanity to show the loathing I have come to have for these freaks.
