SB19 compliant

Jebus. How soon before this goes nationwide and we're told to check the label to make sure the food is compliant?

On the other hand, with steady absorption rather than spiking blood sugar, it sounds like it might be a good snack for diabetics. : )

Kids, we wanted you to have tasty snacks and drinks in school. But the Democrats outvoted us and made the school serve you that yucky stuff that tastes like rabbit turds and hippie crap.

Sorry.

The Conservatives

Put a condom on it and it tastes just like a banana.

Everybody, please recognize this for the golden opportunity that it is to teach children that there are people who think the government should control everything they do, including what they eat.

They are called Democrats.

“[The Z-Bar] helps create awareness that legislation can result in moving the private sector, even to the extent where they will create products specifically to meet these healthier standards,”

In which case "the private sector" becomes a de-facto extension of the state, helping The Man shove his fascist program down our throats. Don't listen to anybody who tells you, "well, it's only for kids in schools", as this is merely the beginning of their plan to run every little detail of everybody's life.

Eat your government rationed Soylent Green. It's good for you!

After all, you are too dumb to make your own choices.

I've noticed that it doesn't matter how many times these kooks get smacked down, they just keep coming back from different directions.

Apparently, they have unlimited time and resources, and the willingness to just keep going like the energizer bunny.

Eventually, they always win.

I just don't get it.

All the people I know IRL who support this kind of crap nod their little heads, totally, completely, mind-numbingly uncritically agree, all while they are raising their own children on a steady diet of Coke and Chocolate Covered Sugar Bombs.

All my lefty acquaintances feed their spawn this way, then send them to the Psychiatrist for Ritalin when they get out of hand, and try to ban it all for everyone else. Doesn't make any sense to me.

These are public schools. That gives gov't total authority over what's for sale on the grounds, imho.

I think it's great someone's decided to compete for this market space.

To think years ago people laughed at me when I said, after these nuts are done with the smokers, the will come after the "fat" people. Unless you are anorexic with these types you are fat. No one is laughing now.

What's the problem?

I see no problem with schools being limited in what can be sold on premises.

Kids are free to go buy what they want at the store, but why should the school be hocking junk food?

It wasn't all that long ago NO VENDING MACHINES were in schools.

I keep trying to tell you people, and I get screamed at.. put your kid in government schools?? YOu won't trust them with your health care, but you'll hand em over your kids 7 or 8 hours a day 9 months of the year? Real brilliant.

I personally have no problem with banning of junk food sales inside or on school grounds, its not the schools responsibility to make sure little susie and johnny spoiled brat can stuff their face with whatever they want during school hours.

The whole grains and natural sweetener allows Z-Bar to be absorbed at a constant rate, which is more conducive to learning.

Roll it in Tang powder and then dip it in melted chocolate: sounds delicious.

Oh, and caramel sauce too.
