"... and give him the @sswhoopin of a life time."

Roger that.

Kerry's still a snob because he never got a good old-fashioned Texas a*s-whooping.

Here's another great one from DU:

"And it WILL cost us the 2006 election.

You can pretend that it won't, but it will. You can "explain" all you want. This isn't about complex explanations> He put his foot in it good, and it is the fucking end of the wave.

That's not doom and gloom, by the way. I'm fi****ing furious at Kerry and his absolute numbnuts supporters on this board who think it is sufficient to "explain" what he "really" meant. Go***mn you, Kerry, and go****mn the f****g explainers here, with their b****it. If you are going to take a position, f***g good and go****n well take it: NO APOLOGY, period. Or, APOLOGY, period. Now he was against apologizing before he was for it. Aaaaargh. Yes, he was "against" one kind of apology and "for" anopther kind, blah blah blah> Too late. You already lost, because the phrase is snap
F****g Kerry is an idiot. And his supporters here are also fu****g stupid mo***erf*****rs"

This is great, eh? I had to put in the asterisks, by the way.

If YOU don't get educated about chump treasonous politicians (and during the Vietnam War, John Kerry DID commit treason), YOU will get far worse policy decisions than the "quagmire" in Iraq.

John Kerry should read THAT statement to clarrify his remarks.

Did you noticed they are all pssd because he handled it badly, not pssd because of what he said? What a twisted bunch of weasels on that board.

Kerry doesn't want a soundbite of "I will NEVER apologize" being played back to back with "I'm sorry". I say the GOP should hunt out any place where he said "I'm sorry" and broadcast it over and over with a highlight on the quote.

Words are not being "put in his mouth" if he stands by the text on his blog.

Well, apparently he's not going to say it in person.

And we already KNOW he's a coward.

I sincerely regret that my words were misinterpreted to wrongly imply anything negative about those in uniform, and I personally apologize to any service member, family member, or American who was offended.

Why is he apologizing to UPS drivers? He should be apologizing to our military whom he called dumb.

What a crock. Nobody "misinterpreted" your words Kerry. We heard them loud and clear. You meant exactly what you said.

Mr. Kerry;

No, you are not sorry that we "misinterpreted" your foolish attempt at a "joke". You did not "joke". Being a seasoned orator, in the US Senate, you are certainly aware of what you say and mean each time you speak. A lifelong politician, one unable to "make it" in the business world, you are silver tongued and gifted with the ability to speak volumes and say nothing. You knew exactly what you were saying and you didn't screw up your little juvenile joke. Your kind of Democrat continually belittles George W Bush for his malaprops and infer from such childish sneering that he is an idiot.

You, Mr. Kerry, are the consummate idiot. Indeed, you think the average American citizen is an idiot. You bashed and slandered US servicemen when you came back from VietNam by labeling our young men as savages in the model of Genghis Khan. You accused our troops in Iraq of terrorizing and murdering Iraqis. And, this time, you label our troops as being too stupid to make it in the business world, so they're "stuck in Iraq".

Your "apology" is worthless.

It comes too late and wholly faithless.

Twenty-four hours previous, you spouted off at how you were being unjustly attacked for saying exactly what you said. You had no intentions of apologizing and you blamed everyone else for your stupidity. Indeed, your "apology" isn't even an apology!

If you were any sort of man, you'd sincerely apologize, with the media around you as you did on 31 Oct. If you were a man, you'd apologize, sincerely, in front of the same troops you labeled as uneducated. If you were a man, you'd accept your failings and learn from them.

If you were a man.

Sadly, you are not. You should resign. If, you were a man.

How many times does he have to remind people.

My grandpa is a real combat veteran from WW II.

I have never heard him tell anybody this.

I stopped posting at DU after I got banned for the 14th time.

I'm a Libertarian, and I've made plenty of posts here at FR where I disagreed with Republicans about many issues, and I've never been banned here.

It also contradicts his "I apologize to NO ONE" tantrum.

Our parents must have gone to the same school of "no nonsense from the kid." :) You're correct, John Kerry wasn't raised right...nor was Bill Clinton, or Charlie Rangel, or Hillary Clinton, or __________.

The sincerity of this apology is seared, seared, I tell you, into my memory. I can clearly see that the entire episode is Bush's fault.

In fact, The Call to Imus (which has put Imus in the same league with "A Message to García"), was obviously a Republican staffer doing a very good Kerry imitation.

I am so angered by the harsh treatment meted out to the junior senator (who, as you may know, served in Vietnam and was highly decorated) from the same state in New England that gave us the war hero and sacred martyr, the other JFK, that I am going to throw my merit badges over the White House fence in protest. (Cooking, Community Service, Personal Hygiene, etc. even my Woodsman's Badge. Someone has to speak up about this.)
I will keep the certificates, though.

The wusses at NRO are letting the weasel off the hook.

I enjoy much of the commentary at NRO. But the truth is, most of the writers there are elitists too. We might consider them benign elitists, because they don't indulge in Kerry-style animosity toward military service. But most of them are elitists nonetheless, educated at elite universities, accustomed to thinking and sharing superior thoughts with other superior thinkers like themselves.

The soldier considered a blue collar, lower-thinking species by the elitist swells, regardless of party affiliation. Soldiers are to many among the conservative elite what blacks are to the liberal elite; a group to pat on its collective head and admonish: "Tut, tut! Don't be so excitable!"
