State Bar Files Complaint Against Mike Nifong

Raleigh — The North Carolina State Bar has filed an ethics complaint against Duke lacrosse prosecutor Mike Nifong.

Ted has been consistent in saying that NiFong is out of line. He has been ranting hysterically at the comment that the boys 'civil rights' have been violated. He thinks only black people have civil rights.

Yeah, I think there was so much heat on the state bar that they had to act in order to preserve their authority and to fend off legislative attempts to enact legislation that would vest authority in the AG to act in these situations.

One reason why Gerragos wasn't publicly sanctioned was because it might have resulted in a mistrial and reopening of the case.

When a prosecutor or judge is under scrutiny it opens a can of worms as to the other cases.

I have actually heard other attorneys say they admire Nifong because he overcame illness.

Nifong will file a bankruptcy petition and in no time be speaking on University campuses for $20,000+ per speech. There is a Gang of 88, or worse, on lots of campuses.

Why would even a rat want to hire somebody as stupid as Nifong? There are gajillions of other rats out there for hire who are equally as sneaky and dirty-dealing but a lot smarter about it.

I think he's radioactive. Some lawyer friend in Durham may take pity on him and hire him to review briefs or research cases - like law clerk work - or something for $20 an hour, part-time, but that's about it.
