Still trying to figure out if Ana Marie Cox got the axe. Either way she can kiss my a$$.

This is a serious thread about corporate layoffs, so you shouldn't discuss your sex life on it.
However, you might want to send her an e-mail at Time, perhaps the two of you can come to an arrangement....

OTOH, he didn't use "synergy" or "paradigm" in this statement, so we still have work to do.Man, are you behind the times! "Systemic" is the new buzzword.

perhaps the two of you can come to an arrangement....I'm certain Ana Marie will be needing the cash if she was laid off. I think I'd prefer a meth-addicted, toothless biker chick. Less chance of contracting something dangerous.

If it weren't for doctors' waiting rooms, these magazines wouldn't have any subscribers/readers. :) BTW, think about how many sick people have thumbed through that mag over the last year that it has been sitting on the coffee table in that waiting room.

TIME, like every other business, is obliged to satisfy customers in order to sell its product. But you won't hear a liberal anywhere suggest that TIME's sales faltered because liberal content did not meet customers' wishes.

It's amazing, isn't it, how the media thinks it's immune to market forces? It's one of the few industries (maybe the only) that intentionally insults its customers.

I think that the Democrat Congress should investigate TIME.
Also, people should boycott them.

She'd be alright if all I had to do was look at her. It's when she opens her mouth to speak that I can't stand.

Funny how they create their content. I believe it would suffice if they just reported.
To: martin_fierro
'content creation' --- meaning they make it up? Nooooo.....

I'm long enough of tooth to remember when Life magazine was still very popular. It was that era when Movietone news (preceded the featured movie) was still shown in theaters. TV began to make its presence in a meaningful way and people became accustomed to the evening news each night. Movietone news went by the boards quickly and not much later Life magazine began to decline.
Bottom line ... the Internet is the new forum that is eclipsing the more conventional print media. Progress is what it is ... the majority benefit and some need to find a new way to make a living.
