Are you comfortable with the state using ANY method to pay for these new roads? The articles stated most people were uncomfortable with foreign companies being in charge. Even though I'd just a soon not see the population double, (let's not forget We're already in the midst of a water crisis) I'd rather see the roads remain locally controlled and the money coming back to Texas.

It really doesn't matter. The money can come like manna from heaven and it will still require some land owner to sell some of his precious acreage, whether he wants to or not. There will always be someone not happy and between the courts and politicians, nothing will get done. That is why the people that complain, don't offer solutions. Any solution will have objections and every objection has a cause.

Maybe that is why Nero fiddled while Rome burned. The Senate was debating whether the Barbarians should be allowed to assist in putting the fire out.
